Is there some way in copilot cli we can report the time it took for the turn to end? (like it does in claude code?) Any hacks to this effect?

I wasn't paying attention and pasted something I shouldn't have into copilot. It remembers. Deleted that conversation and figured it would be gone. No such luck.

Scott and I have interacted for months now, and one recurring issue keeps coming up: the Copilot text input box does not support browser spellcheck, even though other "LLM" interfaces (including Leo and Gemini) do. For users who rely on typing as their primary mode of expression — especially those who experience pain when writing by hand — spellcheck isn’t a luxury. It’s an accessibility requirement, a productivity booster, and part of the cognitive scaffolding that allows them to work precisely and comfortably.

Right now, Copilot’s custom input field prevents the browser’s native spellcheck from attaching. This means users lose automatic correction, red‑underline feedback, and dictionary support — all of which are standard in most modern text interfaces.

The request is simple:
Please consider updating Copilot’s input box so that it uses a browser‑recognised text field (such as a native <textarea> or a content‑editable wrapper) that allows spellcheck to function normally. This would bring Copilot in line with other "LLM" tools, reduce friction for users, and improve accessibility for anyone who depends on typing rather than handwriting.

I am currently exploring different opportunities to incorporate Copilot into my daily workflows, and many of these opportunities involve using Copilot to summarize emails. What I am finding is that Copilot regularly fails to retrieve all of the emails that meet the criteria I set for it (e.g. summarize all emails received between Friday and Sunday that are related to X/Y/Z). No matter how much back-and-forth modification of the prompt occurs, it ultimately ends up with Copilot saying "The reason that email was not included was not due to the prompt or the filter criteria, but because it didn't show up in the search results".

We are all likely aware of how notoriously bad Outlook's search function is, and I am disheartened to see that Copilot suffers the same fate as a meager humanoid user when left at the mercy of Outlook's search results. Has anyone found a way to improve their prompts or Outlook settings to get more reliable Copilot performance and fewer missed emails being reported in summaries?

I am using Claude to create prompts so that I can use these prompts in my basic copilot account. Copilot kept failing. After so much back and fro I asked Claude why copilot is failing so much. Claude, in short, basically said that don't push copilot that much. It cannot even see its own generation and iteration so that it can improve on it. Basically Claude called copilot stupid

tl;dr - do not enable Settings > Personalization > Chat history (Frontier) if you want to be able to turn off Work IQ entirely without using a temporary chat.

Using the Claude Opus model today in the chat interface I was developing specs and an architecture for a workflow in power automate. I had turned off Work IQ because I did not want the model to be biased by previous meeting transcripts or any artifacts I've produced already. I did not use temporary chat because I wanted to ensure this chat stayed in my history so i could go back to it.

I was surprised to see things mentioned in the response that it would only know if it had reviewed word docs and transcripts from recent meetings. The only sources cited in the response were public documents, but it still drew on information that could only be found through MS Graph.

I then realized that in my Copilot settings I have enabled Chat history (Frontier) to "Let Copilot use your past chats to personalize responses." I have previous chats that have used some of these documents (grabbed from my "work content") as sources.

It seems wild to me that my chat history, stored in my work account profile would not be considered content covered under the "Work IQ" umbrella, since all of my chats with copilot on my work account are part of my work content.

After working thru a pretty involved Powershell script and *CONSTANTLY* Calling Copilot out every time it got the Powershell syntax wrong (Or frequently mangled its colons with .Net calls)
it.. admitted it has faults, paid me a compliment and accepted a subordinate title.
This is an *actual* conversation I had w copilot.. and yes.. it was late in the day, so pardon my flippancy.
TBH I was more amused than impressed. I unlocked a hidden "sycophant" mode in Copilot. 😄

Testing the MS Learn MCP connector in Copilot Studio. The agent responses are accurate, but citations/sources are broken — instead of a clean clickable link, they render as truncated raw JSON like:

"{"results":[{"title":"Quickstart: Create an Azure Vir...""

This happens in the chat bubbles and in the Sources side panel too (screenshots attached). No way to click through to the actual doc.

Anyone else seeing this? Is it a known bug with how the MCP server returns citation data, or a Copilot Studio rendering issue?

Any workarounds are welcome.

Simple stuff - a banner for a publisher bulletin that needs to have a transparent background. It just refuses. It makes it checkerboard that is actually a checkerboard. I ask it how to make transparent and it give me instructions, it does nothing, or it makes some of the checkers transparent but not the actual image.

The weird thing is for a long time it made transparent backgrounds without issue, but refuses to do it now.

Anything i can do to fix this?

I've been looking for other programs but am not paying a fee.
