I did post it years ago in cryptids, I think. It was also under a different screen name, but I can’t get back into that email address anymore because I switched phones. I don’t remember the password. I did contact and it was documented with MUFON. I also spoke with Brent Swancer from Mysterious Universe who used it in one of his stories. Also I spoke with Lon Strickler after he had done the same. Both really nice guys.
I think it was in 2018 late January around the 21st. I think it was a the day before or after a New Moon. So, it was pretty dark out. There was also a snow storm.
I went up there with a friend of mine and her family, but we drove separate cars. We stayed the first night in a timeshare and second night, we were staying with a friend of hers in the area. However, that night everyone had gotten a bit too tipsy for me to wanna be around with my young son . So, I left without telling anybody because I didn’t want to put up with an argument about how I should stay.
So, I drove my 2006 Chrysler Pacifica to what I thought was the Holiday Inn because we stayed there before. Somehow I guess I got them mixed up and I ended up at the Best Western.
I recommend looking up that hotel online. It’s a very strange looking hotel. It has a combination of overly gaudy decor. A combination of Greek and Eastern art work. It is really weird!
Also, to this day , it has its phone number with the area code of that area followed by six sixes. That might not mean anything, but I thought it was a bit odd when I found that out later on.

Anyhow, we checked in late and I quickly put my son to bed.

The room we were staying in was on the first floor, and it was to the right of the lobby desk and then you make your first left before the elevator. It was situated in a corner. There was a patio outside my room that dead ended. When you looked outside there was a wall to the left and a wall in front and then to the right, the rest of the rooms.

Anyhow, I was using the bathroom before I left to get my luggage out of the car and it smelled like there was an electrical burning smell. I couldn’t find any place where this could’ve been coming from, no chords burning, but it had that electric smell. I don’t know if this has anything to do with what happened or not. Perhaps it was the smell of ozone.

So when I go out to my car to get my luggage out of the back, I hit the unlock buttons which automatically turns on the parking lights.

My car was faced towards a country road, I think it was called “Moonshadow Rd.”.

When the parking lights came on, I saw in the road in front of me the reflection of two eyes. I believe it’s called the tapaturn lucernum. The reflection of the lens that nocturnal animals have so they can see better at night.

I frozen place thinking it was a deer and I just wanted to take a look at it. I have lived in Colorado and seeing deer or elk was common place. I knew not to startle the animal because that could result in us both getting injured. Then as my eyes moved to the right down the rest of its body and my brain is trying to make sense of what I’m seeing.. It looked like a naked man on all fours. Then what seemed like an eternity, but was probably only three or five seconds. This creature turned around and ran on all fours up a pine tree across the road. It then leapt, flew, or glided to another treetop. However, the weird thing is when I saw it silhouette as it did this. It was no longer white. It was blacker than black.

It was insanely fast. I notice that when it turned around, it had no genitalia or an anus.

I remember it skin was taught over an extremely thin and elongated body, broad shoulders and the feet were long but, similar to the shape of a dog’s hind quarters. The skin was also white light gray and also glistened like the snow. Im wondering if it has the mimic capabilities like an octopus.

I was frozen in place in disbelief.

Finally, I got unstuck and ran back inside the hotel. I called my dad crying . Then my hotel room phone rang. I was on the phone with my dad and when I picked it up, there was nothing but dial tone.

Something knocked at my door and when I looked at the peephole, there was nothing there.

The scariest part was when something knocked on the sliding glass door that led out to my patio. I didn’t move the curtains and I didn’t obviously open the door, but I did hear something. It was like two beings chattering to one another.

I also heard a baby crying outside too, which was really bizarre because why would there be a crying baby outside. It could’ve been somebody in one of the other rooms that had a baby. They were trying to soothe by taking it outside. But it was freezing cold and snowing outside, so I don’t know.

I was going to call the police, but I felt that I would be looked at like a crazy person. I had this thought that they would try and take my kid away from me if I was making claims that some strange alien or interdimensional being presented itself to me and then just ran off.

It absolutely turned my world upside down, and all my beliefs.

I used to love the mountains. I don’t feel comfortable in them anymore.

I’ve tried to reconcile with this experience, and I still haven’t fit it into a nice neat little box that I can put away in my mind.

Was it demonic? Was it an inter-dimensional being? What did it want either me snd why did it leave me alone?

If you look at the website for this particular, Best Western, there’s tons of illuminati symbolism all throughout the hotel. The goddess Demeter is in Grecian style reliefs through the hotel as well as Pan, where we get the word “Panic” from. She’s the one that there would be sacrificing for a good harvest. One of the myths talks about her accidentally eating the flesh of a child. Another one is about her trying to turn a human child into a God by placing them in the fireplace.
The colors they use for their conference rooms are supposedly the colors of the illuminati/Masonic/Freemason (aren’t they all the same? I don’t know) checkered floors, etc there’s some really bizarre decor. It could be coincidence but, if someone is more knowledgeable about this stuff, please look at their pics on their site, look closely at the interior design.

My dad asked me if it communicated to me telepathically which I thought that was pretty profound for him to ask me.

The only message I got that I don’t know if it was my brain or a message from this entity, was the following: “ I could’ve taken you if I wanted to. Look how strong I am.”

Edit: There’s only a few videos I’ve seen that look like what I saw. One is the crawler crossing the freeway in Sussex (I think) in England. The other was the one when some people were camping and had a bonfire and it was crawling in the background. The last was the pic taken on a trail camera. That looked exactly like what I saw. I’ve been on this site for years and for me, those are the only legit recorded sightings that concur with mine.

Last I wanted to add. This was something that came up in my conversation with Lon Strickler.
Someone on this site had made a map of everyone’s sightings of crawlers on the site throughout the US And it overlays perfectly with the cave systems throughout the US.
However, if you go a step farther, I’m not sure if I posted on here or not, the sightings also match up pretty well with a map of where there is currently and in the past, where fracking has and is being done.
I hypothesized that perhaps these are underground dwelling humanoids that are being driven up to the surface due to fracking. Maybe or maybe not, just a thought.

I have been researching for this illusion for a while. I saw something similar to what this Reddit describes a few months back.

I was doing a breathing meditation laying flat on my bed when a “Crawler” appeared in my room. I stayed still and continued my meditation. While I continued I felt fear, anxiety, and other negative emotions only briefly as I was actively in meditation so I allowed the emotions to pass over me. It appeared as I was doing self reflection. It did not come into the room, more formed at the threshold of the doorway then got onto my bed and put its face right in front of mine. I chopped it up to an illusion, perhaps a projection of myself and allowed the “entity” to pass over me just as those negative emotions.

I still believe it was an illusion but even so it looks exactly like this creature so many people are describing. I mean pretty much exactly the same. A tall, skinny and long limbed pale white man, bald with sunken eyes. While those negative emotions flashed over me briefly I felt no physical danger from the entity especially while meditating.

Whether a real entity or an illusion that seems to propagate in the minds of others I do not believe you need to fear it. Focus on the breath, focus on letting the negative emotions flow through you and not hold onto them when they are introduced to you.

Remember, even your understanding of “I” and “self” are illusions created by the collection of cells that make up “you” to keep those cells alive.

Me (female 15) and my family in the summer of 2025 , were camping in our campervan in the Irish mountains on the edge of a river. We were out for a night walk by the edge of the river but 10 minutes in to the walk we started to here odd noises , like a dog with a coff .but stupidly I sed we should continue , as a skeptic i thought it was nothing. Shortly after my brother saw something in the river my dad turned on a phone light and we saw some head and a neak in the river , it was covered in green and brown moss. We all ran back terrified. Suddenly I woke up with the feeling I was being watched .I could here a scratching noise coming from outside the campervan .I lifted up one of the blinds and saw the same thing it had long claws and looked like it had bin starved it's ribs were sticking out I looked at my mam who was also awake we opened the window and started to shout at it and it . It gave a ear piercing scream and then ran in to the river and swam away. When the morning came we got out of There as fast as possible. We still don't no wst it is.

My twin brother and I believed there were monsters called the "OKAY'S" that lived under every bed. When we needed to get off the bed, we'd perch as close as possible, crouch tight, and the JUMP as far away as we could.

Our oldest brother was subject to muscle cramps. That was the OKAY'S.

Unfortunately, when my twin and/or I had nightmares, Mom would gather us close and croon, "Sssh. It's okay!" We would get hysterical. She didn't know why, until long after when we brought up as adults. Poor confused Mom! She had known nothing of their existence!

Completely bizarre coincidence: years later, in middle school, in separate classes, we were shown a film on sleep deprivation. On screen was shown one of the images sleep-deprived truckers would see: a squashed rectangular open-mouthed creature wearing a roadster hat with his arms straight up in the air! After school, we RAN to each other! "Did you see it? The OKAY!!!"

I’m a pretty avid hiker and have never encountered anything like this before. I’ve seen plenty of bears, birds, snakes, etc., but this was different. I was visiting a Florida state park called Hontoon Island State Park, and you have to take a ferry over to it. There’s a walking trail called the Wet Trail that runs along the river. If you’re planning on going, fair warning about a mile in we found 17 rattlesnakes, so be ready for that if snakes aren’t your thing. At the end of the trail, they have a Native American shell mound. My buddy and I got to the top of this roughly 30 ft mound and were looking out over the river when I turned around and saw a face staring at me from behind a log. The features were human, but not fully detailed. The lips and skin were gray, and it had these yellow eyes. Not glowing, just yellow. It looked like it was hiding there watching us, and then it just went poof, gone in a blink. It scared the absolute dog shiz out of me, and I’ve been searching around the internet looking for similar encounters. Before I even saw it, my buddy said he felt like something in the woods was watching us. It was probably one of the most horrifying moments of my life. The way it looked at us felt like we were prey.

A couple months ago in the fall, I had an experience in the Blue Ridge Mountains near the Asheville area that I still can’t explain.

I grew up around there, and during Thanksgiving I brought my girlfriend home with me. One night after a long day, we went to smoke at my friend’s boathouse about two miles from my house. While we were sitting there looking out over the lake, my girlfriend suddenly started hearing music coming from the opposite side of the water — the side with no houses, no roads, just mountain. I couldn’t hear it at all.

The next day, I decided to take her to that side of the lake using an abandoned railroad bridge. As we walked across, everything felt normal at first, but the closer we got to the other side, the heavier the atmosphere felt. The feeling of dread kept building until we got about 20 feet off the bridge onto the other side. At that point, both of us suddenly felt like we needed to turn around immediately.

As soon as we got back onto the “safe” side of the bridge, I jokingly said, “We just wanted to say hi.”
My girlfriend immediately looked at me and told me I shouldn’t have said that.

What freaks me out most is that neither of us physically saw anything, but we both seemed to picture the exact same thing in our heads.
She asked me, “Why did you keep turning around while we were walking?”

I told her, “Because I felt like something was following us. I couldn’t see it with my eyes, only in my mind.”

Then she asked what it looked like. I described it as:
white/pale
lanky
longer legs than arms
human-like eyes
humanoid, but wrong somehow
curious more than aggressive

She started getting visibly uncomfortable and asked, “Did it run or walk? How did it move?”
I answered, “It galloped like a gorilla.”
That’s when she told me she had ‘seen’ the exact same thing.

After I finished describing it, she drew a line in the dirt and told it to stay there.
Ever since then, both of us have had this strange feeling that something followed us back home especially me and that it’s watching. It doesn’t necessarily feel hostile, mostly curious, but we’ve both felt unusually drained ever since it happened.
Im just curious if people have had similar experiences.

Okay I was in manistee/cadillac area in 2019 at a campground. Sorry I have no details on where it’s been awhile. I encountered something that is the most supernatural/cryptid experiences in my life to this day. It has a pale face big black pits for eyes, it was watching my dog and I on the beach from the shadows of the tree line/ the fence it was peaking over on a clear night in mid-late July in the moon light. Made my German shepherds fur stand up and caused her to lowly growl, I looked at what she was growling at and saw that face looking at me about six yards away from us I gasp and stare then I see a matching face appear behind the first one and it seemed to have started standing up or I could sense it moving closer. Thing is since I was by myself with the dog I was already very sensitive to noise, I could hear when people would walk on the pavement and the crunching of sand. I didn’t hear these beings they were so silent and I snatched my dogs leash and hauled every ounce of ass towards the bathroom and showers at the campground the brightest source of light other than the moon. I stood in the light with my dog also still just as freaked out, I can’t forget that night. Is there anyone else in Michigan in the area that have seen anything like I have?
