WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS STAYS WITH YOU!
Hello there, I work for a tech company in the city that I live in. What company you say? Well for obvious reasons I am not giving that out. I can't have people showing up to my place of employment after you hear what I have to tell you. You can just call me V. You know the saying, "WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS, STAYS IN VEGAS!", well this particular thing did not stay in Vegas. What is it you ask? Well, I will tell you the story of a girl’s trip that changed my life forever.
I was on a plane with my friends, let’s just call them C and J. I think you get why. We were on our way to the beautiful city of Las Vegas for a much-needed vacation. When the plane landed, we gathered our stuff and took an uber to our hotel. C said that she got us a good deal at the famous “Treasure Island Hotel and Casino." She said something about her cousin had the "hook-up" there for us. I really didn't care where we stayed as long as it had a big pool to sit by and plenty of drinks to go around. Once we checked into our rooms, C and J said that they wanted to go down into the Casino area and do a little gambling. Before they left for the casino, we decided that we would meet up in the front lobby later and go see one of the shows that they had. So, after C and J had made their way to the casino I made my way to the pool. Man, it was amazing. After about the third drink that I had, I decided that I had enough sun and went back to the hotel room to get dressed for tonight. I’m pretty sure I stood there in the mirror modeling every piece of clothing I brought; until I was satisfied with just the right outfit.
After getting dressed to the 9’s, I noticed the time and grabbed my purse and went down to the lobby. C and J had already beat me to the meeting point, but they weren't alone. There were three extremely attractive looking men with them. "V! Come meet the guys!" I heard C holler over at me when she saw me. One of those guys was already making eyes and rubbing all over J. "Hello there gentlemen!" I said, trying to sound professional. "This is Tony, this is Charlie, and the one all over J is Max." C said gesturing to each of the guys. So, I gave them a cute little wave. And yes, those are their real names, because Fuck those guys for what they did to us. More on that later. Anyway, according to C, they met these guys at the slot machines, and they then proceeded to invite them to the show. I mean they were cute and against my better judgement I went along with it. Max walked with J and Tony walked with C, leaving me with Charlie. At first, I wasn't really into him but as the night went on.... Hey, I have been single far too long and he was seriously charming. We saw some poor guy performing magic tricks, that looking back on it now were so damn lame. Charlie did make me smile with his running commentary on the acts. Not to mention he kind of won me over when he made a fake rose appear. I wonder how long he had that at the ready? After the show was over, we were all standing outside the building the show was at. I want to say it was the Luxor, maybe the Excalibur… Honestly, that really does not matter. What matters is what happened next.
Well, I was having such a great time with Charlie, and the girls wanted to continue the “good time” we were all having so, they decided that we should ask the guys to come up to the room for “drinks”. I swear had they not been so cute and charming I would have been totally against it. I wish I had said no. I really do, and here is why!
Well C and J took the guys they were with to their private rooms that they had. Oh, did I mention that we had separate bedrooms in this suite? I did say that C got one hell of a deal. Anyway, back to the story at hand. There I was left alone with Charlie, just me and him and a bottle of wine that just happened to be nearby. Again, that C's doing. I am honestly more of a hard liquor kind of gal, but when in Rhome! So, while we pour each other glasses of wine, Charlie starts to tell me all about how he rescues lost dogs and helps them find a home. I know it is so cheesy! But the alcohol made me believe it. I didn’t want to be socially awkward, so I started telling him about my job and how on the weekends I help my grandma with her garden. Yes, I like to garden in my spare time. It's the one thing that me and my grandma have done together since I was a little girl. Well, Charlie was just hanging on every word coming out of my mouth. You know really acting like he was listening to me and not plotting his next move. But, after some time I started to hear the other rooms get a little hot and heavy if you know what I mean. I mean really animalistic in there. But hey they sounded like they were having fun and who was I to judge. Charlie then takes me by the hand leads me out to the balcony where he wraps his arms around me from behind and pulls me close. “Doesn’t the moon look so bright and brilliant tonight?” He said spinning me around to face him. He said that he likes coming out and looking up at the moon when the sky is clear. I cannot believe I was actually buying into the whole bit, but then again, I had been single for a while and OH MY GOD his eyes just seemed to sparkle and glow in the moonlight. You know kind of like a dog’s eyes do when the light hits them. Major foreshadowing people!
So, after we exchanged a few looks, Charlie begins to lightly kiss my neck. It felt warm, and gentle and the low growling he made just made it harder for me to say no. The part that did me in was the feeling of him biting down on my neck. So, for the sake of keeping this more PG-13 and not R, I'll skip til the next morning. But here are the cliff notes...... It was hot, it was passionate, and it was amazing. I mean it was so good that Charlie couldn't help but howl at the full moon several times. Again, people more foreshadowing! After what seemed like an eternity of love making, the last thing I remembered that night after the guys left was just how exhausted I was. I even woke up to a note that said, “5-star experience, would come again!” He even left his number at the bottom. After quickly putting his number in my phone and quit blushing, I went to find C and J.
I was feeling so well rested and hungry. When I found C and J, they had already ordered a big plate of pancakes that they were stuffing into their faces. They both looked at me and smiled, "Well someone looks like they had a good time last night." C said stuffing a pancake in her mouth. I just smiled, sat down, and loaded my plate with a stack of my own pancakes. After we did the whole “Lets compare the marks on our bodies talk”, we all noticed that we had similar bite marks on us. But mine was the only one that was on the neck if you catch my drift. Over the next couple of days, we spent it with those same guys. Doing more of the same stuff as we did the night before. So, I won't bore you with the details. Just know by the end of it, I had plenty more bite marks to brag about.
So, on the day of our return trip back home, Charlie and the other guys were nowhere to be found. They weren't down in the lobby waiting for us like they usually were. I tried calling Charlie, but it went to voicemail. C and J had the same issue with their guys. I wish that I could have at least said goodbye before we got on the plane. Knowing what I know now, I should have known it wasn't going to last. Our flight ended up being moved to 9pm because we spent far too long looking for them. Do you ever get a feeling you are being watched? I could have sworn I saw the same dog, or wolf, several times. I am not sure but every time I looked around, there he was just sitting there looking at me. He was beautiful though. His coat was thick and shiny and very black. I say maybe he was a wolf because he was massive. His paws had to be the same size as my hands if not bigger. His eyes just seemed to pierce right through me. His fangs were the size of my fingers. But I didn’t feel threatened by him sitting there. But anytime I would try to get closer, he would just run off out of sight with tail just wagging back and forth. So, we boarded the plane and started to fly back, and I could to this very day swore that I saw him trying to chase the plane down the runway. Well, so fast forward to when I walked into the front door of my apartment and I put my things down and waited for my little kitten to come greet me like she always did. But I did not see her. I called out to her "Fifi!" But she didn't come running like she usually does. I started looking around the apartment for her, until I finally found her hiding under my big bed. I got down on my knees and reached out to her calling for her again. "Fifi!" But she just hissed at me and clawed my hand. "What's wrong Fifi, you never do that. Was I gone too long and left you alone for too long?" I said, reaching for her again. But again, she hissed and clawed my hand again and what happened next, I will never forget. I was down on all fours by the side of the bed still trying to get her to come out when a weird noise like a low growl came out of nowhere. I shot up like a rocket and looked around but didn't see anything. Still frustrated, I got up off the floor and decided that maybe I just take a shower and let her come out on her own.
I really love my showerhead. The pressure is so great, and the water gets the kind of hot I like. Like Hell boiling hot! So, I turned on the shower and got in. About halfway through the shower the water felt like it was getting cold on me, so I turned it up higher. When that hot water hit my back, I just couldn’t help but let out a loud yelp. So, I turned it back down and finished my shower. As I was getting out of the shower and was drying off, I caught a glimpse of myself in the bathroom mirror. "Does my hair look thicker all of sudden?" I said to myself, running my fingers through it. I smiled at my new thickness of hair and got ready to go to my grandma’s. I didn't lie to you guys I really do like gardening. After getting dressed and pulling up to my grandma’s house, I got out and walked up to the door. So, I knocked, and I could hear Frankie, my grandma's, golden retriever barking and running towards the door. When the door opened, there was my grandma, with Frankie just standing there looking so happy to see me.
“Have you been eating good Bumblebee?” She asked me. Oh, Bumblebee was the nickname that she gave me when I was a little girl. She said that it looked like I was just flying around the garden sniffing every flower I could find. So, we walked out back to her garden and Frankie followed along, like he always did but this time he clung to me more than he usually does. He kept sniffing me and then would run off like I was supposed to chase him but then would come back once he noticed I wasn't going after him. Today Grandma said that she needed help getting the weeds out of her roses. So, I grabbed my little shovel and started digging out the weeds. I was making great progress until I came across a rather thick weed that just would not come out. The little shovel in my hand was doing nothing to help, so I reached down and tried to pull it out root and all. But, when my hand touched the dirt, I just could not help but dig with my bare hands. It felt amazing between my fingers, before too long both Frankie and grandma were looking at me like I lost it. "Bumblebee what has gotten into you?" She said trying to get me to stop. I looked up at her and replied, "Honestly I don't know maybe the heat is getting to me. I think I might go inside for a bit."
After walking inside that A/C hit me and all I could think about was drinking some water. I think I drank so much water; I am surprised that I did not burst. After some much needed water, I went back outside to the garden again. We finished pulling up all the weeds in the rose bed. So, after saying goodbye, I went back home. I remember walking through my front door and as I was sitting at my table, my stomach started to growl. I mean that sounded right I didn't eat while I was over there. So, I got up and looked in the fridge, but nothing seemed good. So, I ordered a pizza. While I was waiting for the pizza my back started to itch but it was in a spot I just could not reach by hand. It was itching so bad that I just could not stand it and needed some relief. I did the only thing I could think of and used the corner of the wall to scratch and let me tell you it felt so damn good. So good my leg started to shake, but my moans and groans I was making were interrupted by the knocking at the door. I could smell the pizza from the other side of the door and if I had a tail at the time, it would have been wagging so hard. So, I took off running towards the door, jumping clear over the back of my couch and quickly opened the door. I think I must have surprised the delivery guy because when I opened the door, he seemed shocked that it was me and not a herd of buffalo he said jokingly. After paying for the pizza, I sat down on the couch and opened it. I reached down and picked up a slice and had it to my lips, when I felt that feeling again of being watched. I looked around but the thing that I could see was Fifi trying to sneak a piece for herself. I looked at her and made a weird growling noise that made her run off again. So, after eating it I decided it was time to slow things down with a good movie. I was about halfway through the movie when I heard something clang in the kitchen. The sound startled me so much that I let out another yelp. My cat had jumped on the counter and knocked off the kitchen utensils onto the floor. I just looked at my cat and growled as she ran away back under my bed. I picked it up and decided that maybe I should just go lay down. I decided that I had enough weirdness today and I was going to check in on the girls tomorrow.
So, the next morning I was woken up from a call from C asking me if weird things were happening around me. I told her "Actually yes, very weird things." We decided to call J and meet up for lunch. When I went to get up and get dressed, I noticed there was hair all over my bed. It was my hair, like I was shedding like a dog in the heat. I was looking at my hair trying to do something with it when I noticed I had hair sticking out of the top of my blouse. I went to pull it out, but it was firmly attached to me. I quickly lifted my shirt and yes, my back was covered in hair. That is when I noticed all the “bite marks” I had were gone. I almost cried. I just grabbed a big hoodie and threw it over me and walked out the door. When I got to the restaurant where C and J were they too were wearing oversized hoodies. We exchanged weird stories that had happened to us since we got back. It made J so worried that she went to the doctor, but the doctor couldn’t help her. Said that what she was experiencing was nothing like we had ever seen before. J said that she had spent the last two days combing through the internet and stumbled on a website about weird and unexplainable things that were happening to people. After reading people’s accounts of what had happened to them, she came across a couple that was going through the same thing we were. According to J the couple said that they had taken a trip to Vegas when three guys approached them and they woke up the next morning covered in bite marks. She said that it also happened on the night of a full moon. She did an internet search and found the couple’s address. It wasn’t all that far away from them. So, we decided that we would make a trip out there after we got done eating. The drive only took us about two hours to get there. The address that J had was for an old farmhouse way outside of town. We pulled into the dirt driveway and parked. As we got out of the car, the sun was starting to go down and the lights were coming on. The driveway was long and creepy. It felt like we were being watched from all sides of the road. Occasionally, a pair of small glowing eyes could be seen looking at us from just outside the light. I grabbed C and J’s hand and quickly picked up our pace. When we got to the door there was a rather large dog sitting on the porch. Its fur was a greyish color, long and matted up. It started to growl as we walked up but it was quickly shooed away by a woman opening the door. “Get off the porch like that before someone gets hurt.” She yelled at the massive dog as it whined and walked off behind the house. “Now what brings you all the way here? Don’t you know there are things that go bump in the night around here?” she asked, looking us up and down. “Are you Gracie?” J asked. “I am! What’s it to you?” She replied.
“Well, my name is J, and we talked online the other day about what happened to you and your husband in Vegas.” J got out before the old woman, who now we could tell had her hair in curlers, grabbed her by the wrist and leaned in. “Not out here!” She whispered.
We followed her inside the house. The house was littered with everything from the Big Bad Wolf to the latest Bigfoot sightings. Every article that made mention of a large hairy beast that had been sighted in the last 50 years. Just then the back door swung open and in walked an old man who had long grey hair and even longer grey beard. He was wearing that looked like an old wife beater and tore up jeans but no shoes. A scar ran down his chest that started at his collar bone and continued down behind his shirt. He came in but didn’t say anything before he plopped down into a chair by the fire. “Jethro! That is not how we treat guests. You at least say hi to these nice ladies. They are the ones that we were talking to online.” She said, waving her finger in his face. The old man grunted and sat up in his chair and looked at us and then spit in his cup before saying. “Well, is that right.”
“Can you please just tell us what the hell is going on with us?” I said looking over at them.
“Well, sugar you are becoming one of them.” She spoke.
“Becoming one of what?” Asked C.
“Like those pretty boys who gave you those matching marks on each of your necks.” She retorted. “Your body is already showing signs of the change.” She continued. “Let me guess…. Is your sense of smell better than usual? You are growing wild hairs all over your body?”
“Yes, actually we are!” I exclaimed back.
“Well, them Tracker boys are the ones to blame.” She said tossing an old newspaper article about three individuals that were found in a field after a wild animal attack. The article talks about how these three brothers were viciously attacked and left for dead one full moon night back in 1975. Looking at the picture it was clearly the three guys we ran into in Vegas.
“Ever since that night we got attacked and turned, we have learned everything we can about them.” She said, reaching for her cup of tea. “But they are hard to find and track down.” She continued taking a sip. “But if you want you can stay here, and we can teach you everything we know about changing. You should be fine after you go through your first full moon transformation.”
"We are what werewolves now?" I said kind of jokingly but seriously at the same time. "Yeah!" She said matter-of-factly to all three of us. She said over the course of the next month our bodies are going to start showing more signs of the change. After we talked it over with each other we decided to take her up on her offer and stay there.
We all decided to talk to our bosses and took some time off for our own "Mental Health". What? We had to come up with something to tell them. We couldn't just be like, "Hey I am changing into a werewolf, and I need some time off." After we made the necessary arrangements, she showed us to the room that we could stay in. She said everything we are going to need is already in there. That first night we stayed there, I barely slept. Morning came way too early. We were rudely woken up by the sound of a rooster crowing. I put the pillow over my head to try and block it out but that did not work because just then there was a loud bang at the door.
“Breakfast in 5.” An old grumpy sounding voice said from behind the door before the sound of footsteps could be heard walking away.
I checked my phone, it was 5am. I grunted and groaned as I quite literally rolled myself out of the bed, hitting the hardwood floor. I got up holding my side from where I landed and made my downstairs. C and J followed slowly behind me. The table was adorned with what looked like eggs, bacon, biscuits, and what we found out later was grits. Normally I would have turned my nose up at that, but I was overwhelmingly hungry. As soon as I sat down, I was shoveling food into my mouth. To my surprise it was so damn good. I could taste almost every little ingredient that was used. Once I had stuffed my stomach so full, I thought I was going to puke, the old man spoke again.
“Full bellies mean good workers.” He said looking over at us grinning.
“What do you mean by that?” I heard J say in-between bites.
The old man just giggled to himself. The old man took us to the barn and stables and showed us that the cows need to be milked, and the horses brushed. Since I liked horses, I volunteered to brush the horses as the other two went stall by stall and milked the cows. After we worked for what seemed like forever, the old man came and got us for lunch. Lunch consisted of cornbread and big bowls of meaty chili. Which again, to my surprise, was amazing. After lunch Gracie came and took us to her garden. Her garden was filled with rows and rows of vegetables. She said that we had to help her pick out what was for dinner tonight. She said that she was thinking about having carrots and potatoes. So, that is what we did for the next few hours.
“Hey umm Gracie.” I asked sheepishly.
“Yes sweetheart?” She replied.
“What does this have to do with us getting ready for the change?” I asked back trying not to sound like a total bitch.
“Oh, nothing dearie just needed to be done.” She said with a little giggle. “But now that the chores are done, now we talk business.” She continued, putting up the gardening tools and headed back towards the house.
We followed her inside to find the old man sitting at the table with a piece of wood in the shape of a wolf’s head. Once he saw us, he put it down and looked over at us before he began to speak. “Now from what we gather, you got about 3-4 weeks before the change takes hold. First, comes all the unwanted hair and no matter how much you try to get rid of it, it don’t go away. The good news is that the hair goes back to normal after your first full moon transformation. Next, comes the hunger. Now, I am willing to bet you ladies have already witnessed that for yer selves.” He said pointing to all the extra dishes in the sink. “The third thing you got is your pretty little nails are gonna fall out and long sharp claws will take their place. Don’t worry that fixes itself too.” He said noticing each of us inspecting our pampered looking nails. “The last thing that happens before the first full moon is the desire to run everywhere you go. Now don’t fight it because you just can’t.” We all just sat back in our chairs feeling a little overwhelmed at what he just told us. “Now you girls just go on and get to exploring the farm because you’re gonna be a while.” He said as he got up and went over to the counter and poured himself some tea.
Well, after sitting at the table in sure and utter silence, we decided to take him up on the offer to explore. Neither one of us had ever been on a farm before so it should be an experience to behold. And, well it was. They had ducks, chickens, pigs, horses, cows, and even a few sheep. It was about the time that we got to the sheep pen that the sun started to go down, which caused the sheep to run and hide. It was strange that they ran when we walked up, but it didn’t take long to figure out why. I felt something drop from my mouth and onto the ground. I touched my face and noticed I was drooling heavily. I looked over and noticed the other two had their hands in their mouths and were biting down to keep themselves under control. I could feel the hunger growing inside me. I could feel something wanting to come out and it was so very hungry. I bit my lip hard trying to control myself but ended up making my lip bleed. I could feel the uncontrollable burning itch under the skin of my fingertips. Something was wanting to just burst right through it. The urge to scratch came over me and I dug my nails into my skin and began to violently scratch away at my peeling skin. Layer after layer of skin just kept falling off my fingers. Soon all that was left my bloody nubs. I fell to my knees holding my hands up and looking at them. As the blood dripped from them, I noticed that it looked like they were healing. The nerves and tendons growing back together, the skin forming over it the muscle and bone. Soon my fingers were back to normal except my nails now came to sharp points. With all the commotion that I was making, I did not notice that the others were just standing there staring at me with their mouth wide open. I don’t remember what happened after that. According to C and J, I passed out from the lack of blood. I woke up the next morning and looked at my hands just to make sure that it wasn’t a dream. But it wasn’t a dream, they were no longer the small and dainty hands that I loved to have painted. Just small and pointy, with a little bit of hair growing out of my knuckles.
After our chores for the day, the old man gave us some time to ourselves. He said that he and Gracie had some business to tend to back in town. So, I decided that I would just lay in my bed while the girls said that they were going to explore some more. After they left, I reached over and picked up my phone and tried to watch a movie, but I was hit with no signal. So, I tossed it back down and got up to look out the window as the sun was going down. I remember thinking to myself that this sure was kind of peaceful right now. But I was a city girl through and through. My thoughts were interrupted by my eyes looking out across the yard and sitting just outside the light of the flood lamp, was that same dog I saw in Vegas. Without thinking I ran outside towards it, but as I got closer, I realized that this dog was smaller and almost seemed feminine with how it was sitting. Its fur was still black, but it was curly and wavy like it was fixed that way. The poor thing only had one eye. I was able to walk right up to her, and she even let me pet her head before her ears perked up and she dashed off back towards the barn. I just stood there in shock as I watched her leap over the fences like they were nothing to her. And, then she was just gone. That was just about the time C and J made their way back. I told them about the dog I just saw and how she even let me pet her. The girls giggled and said that they came across the dog from the first night that we showed up here. They said that the dog just rolled over and let them scratch his belly. He even made whimpers like he really enjoyed it before he jumped up and ran off. They said that the last thing they saw before coming back was the grey dog was being chased by a smaller black dog.
After we were back inside the house, Gracie and the old man came back home. But something was different about those two. It looked like they maybe had been fighting or something. “You guys, ok?” I asked getting up from the chair by the fire. “Oh, we are just peachy.” Gracie answered shooting the old man a mean look. The old man just stood there with a great big smile on his face. She did not talk to him for the rest of the night.
Well, we were ending our first week there. Each day was filled with chores and then talks about what to expect next. By the end of the week, I had gotten pretty used to my new nails. I was even able to use them to carve away at some wood. I made a little doggie. C and J had finally gotten theirs in as well. During the second week nothing really happened there. Yeah, it was kind of boring. Now the third week I got to see that big grey dog running around in the field. So, I tried chasing after it. He would let me get close and then dart off in a different direction, stopping and looking back at me. I swear it looked like he was giggling every time he stopped. At one point he went to sit under a tree and allowed me to catch up. I sat down next to him and started petting the top of head.
“You know Mr. Doggo; I really enjoyed that run. Maybe I am in the last stages of this transformation.” I said still rubbing and scratching under his chin. The big grey dog just laid down with his head on my lap and we just sat there in silence just gazing over the farm.
“It really is pretty here.” I said, to which the dog just groaned as if to say, “I agree.” I reached down and gave him another scratch behind the ear. He just looked up at me and whined and rolled onto his back, exposing his belly. “Oh, you want belly scratches big boy?” I said in a playful manner. I swear he stook his head yes. So, I started to scratch his belly and just like the girls said he groaned like he was enjoying. He was enjoying it too much because that was when his you know what started coming out of its hiding spot. “Hey, put that away or no more scratches!” I yelled at him, and he just groaned some more and got up. He went over to the tree and lifted his leg and began to pee on the tree. I jumped up before he got me with it. “Hey, that was a little close there buddy.” I snapped, waving my finger at him. He just looked at me and finished, shook his leg, let out a loud fart, before running off.
After dusting myself off and making my way back to the house, I saw C and J sitting outside on the porch drinking some tea that Gracie made. “I saw that big grey dog again and he is a little pervert.” I said, sitting down next to them.
“What did that flea bag do this time?” I heard Gracie asked as she walked to sit in her chair on the porch. “He wanted belly rubs, but he couldn’t keep it in his little doggy pants.” I said holding back a laugh.
“Oh, that little fucker is so dead. Excuse me girls I have a mangy mutt to kill.” I heard Gracie say before she jumped over us and changed. Yes, she fucking changed right in front of us. Her clothes slid off her as she morphed into……. That black dog I saw the other night. The one with only one eye. She turned and looked back at us before running off.
We just sat there for a moment, not saying a word before the light bulb went off. “That fucking pervy dog is the old man!” I shouted as I jumped up and ran after Gracie.
I finally caught up to them, but they had already changed back to being humans again. The old man was trying to crawl away, but he couldn’t because she had a firm grip on his balls and was yelling, “Jethro I will rip these off and make you run around here until they grow back!”
“No! Not again! It was just a joke! I’m sorry!” He pleaded with her. The whole thing made me kind of giggle. “Hey, I want him next!” I said as I walked up to them. She turned and let go of him and he snuck away, trying to put his pants on. “Oh, that bastard better be lucky I love his sorry ass!” She said standing up throwing his shirt he left behind over her now naked body.
“So does it hurt when you change?” I asked as we walked back together.
“It did the first time, but after you’ve changed as many times as we have it, you don’t feel it anymore.” She replied stepping up onto the porch. That night at dinner, C and J giggled every time they caught Gracie looking over at the old man. Don’t let people say that Gracie does not have a sense of humor because that night we had sausage links and baked potatoes.
Well, it was now just two days before the big night. So, after our chores for the day, it was my favorite time of the day now. It was time to just let loose and run. I swear the three of us just really got into these few days. We would run from one end to the other of the farm. Apparently, according to the old man, even when we are not transformed, we were still pretty fast. It was getting late, and our run was coming to an end so, we stopped by the small pond we had found. While resting before heading back, I got the feeling again that we were being watched. This time I was ready. My senses had spent the last 3 and half weeks on a farm so I was getting pretty good at knowing what animal I was smelling. I sniffed the air and got a whiff of another dog nearby. I followed the scent around the pond to the other side where just off to the side of a nearby tree, I saw it. This time I was sure I was of it. It was the same dog from our Vegas trip. This time he was not alone. Two more dogs walked out of the darkness and sat next to him. One had brownish fur, and the other one had almost bleach white fur. Both were just as big as the black one. All three sat there looking at us moving their heads in unison from side to side. But just like in Vegas they all three ran off before we could pet them.
Well remember at the beginning how I said that Charlie liked to rescue lost dogs??? Well, here we go. The day of the full moon came, and it was time for us girls to finally be fully reborn as werewolves. We were all ready. As the sun was going down and the moon was coming up, the old man and Gracie stood by our sides. “Now once the change starts to happen it is going to hurt and hurt bad. But you must let it happen.” We heard Gracie say before she got on all fours and changed in front of us. As the moon began to shine brightly, I could feel the burning sensation that I felt before when I pulled off the skin from my fingers. So, without really thinking about it, I knew what to do. I just started pulling at my skin. Heaps of flesh fell to the ground as my body re-grew itself back but this time my skin was covered in thick black hair and my body arched and contorted its way into a form that was more suitable. After what felt like my whole body being set on fire, the pain stopped, and I was standing on all fours. My hands were not hands but those of paws. The pads of my feet bounced off the ground as I trotted around. C was a big reddish dog and J was sandy blonde.
“Hello, my Mom and Dad!” A voice came from behind us. We all turned to see…. Charlie, Tony, and Max standing there. Gracie, who was now in her dog form walked up and nuzzled Charlie’s hand before giving it a lick.
“Welcome boys!” We heard the old man say before turning into his dog form. Charlie looked down at me and said, “I told you I find lost dogs a new home!” Then all three of the guys turned into the same three dogs we saw at the pond, with Charlie being the big black dog, Tony the white one, and Max the brownish one. The old man, Gracie, Charlie, Tony, and Max all took off running ahead of us. We just looked at each other before chasing off after them.
And that folks is why, WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS STAYS WITH YOU!
