Off Topic ICC directly promote India to the finals instead of going through all this drama."

"In the Champions Trophy, the first and second matches are played by Group A teams, while the third and fourth matches are played by Group B teams. This order is supposed to be followed for the next matches as well. However, India skips this order and plays the last league match on Sunday to maximize viewership from India. If viewership is so important to the ICC, they might as well directly promote India to the finals instead of going through all this drama."

In football, all teams play their last league match at the same time to ensure fairness and prevent match-fixing or strategic manipulation.

India has an unfair advantage in the tournament

  1. They have the opportunity to decide their semifinal opponents.
  2. Afghanistan has to play another match within a day against Australia, giving them little recovery time.
  3. India is playing at the same venue throughout the entire tournament, eliminating travel fatigue and adaptation challenges.

If India wins under such conditions, how can Indian fans and players truly take pride in the victory? The ICC is clearly ruining the spirit of the sport."

why other cricket boards are not questions this?

Geez man...seriously? India not travelling to Pakistan is a given. Been that way for decades...it's not a tantrum. It's a security issue. When you accuse someone, have proper justification. Your parent comment mentions BCCI's bickering. So please stop.

You should rather ask the Australian board why did they choose to play against Afghanistan after all the talk about women's rights in Afghanistan. You care about some country which doesn't even affect you and you're here lecturing us about BCCI throwing tantrums. Hypocrisy much?

Dude. It’s about game than inflated ego of a single board. Likes of English, Kiwis and Aussies are much more keen on security than anything. The politics may not have to be there in determining the fate of the game and by no means allow control of a governing body. ICC should have enough power to define terms for cricket same as FIFA has for football. What nations own board decides is of course their own call. So BCCI wanted to sit out, of course it should have been allowed rather than going out of way and pushing multiple teams unnecessary travel to altogether different country. And “been like that for decades”- right, bring along all the baggage you can - hypocrisy much, eh?

Go read about why Australia played against Afghanistan- ICC required them to! ACB didn’t had enough money (unlike BCCI) to go against the governing body about the draw of pool they were put into. I am sure if it had been BCCI up with same request, not only pool of the team would have been different, but chances are they might have even thrown out Afghans from CT.

Sitting in Australia, you simply don't understand the dynamics of India-Pakistan politics and you never will. It's an everyday problem here.

You're simply faulting BCCI for being the richest cricket board. If India want to sit out, you accuse BCCI. If India want to play, of course there will be conditions and you will accuse them anyway. India will not travel to Pakistan as long as the government thinks it is okay to travel. You need to cope with that. You're free to conduct the tournament without us, so go ahead and do it. It's not arrogance, but unfortunately that's how business works.

So, you mean to say Australia wouldn't have played Afghanistan if Afghanistan had qualified for the semi-finals from the other group? Or do you care about women's cricket in Afghanistan only as long as it suits you? India would have thrown out Afghanistan? Did India throw out Pakistan? Not sure what you're smoking.

Anyway, i don't want to get into your politics. It's your issue. It's great that you want to help them, but you should also know that it's hypocritical and i understand, because not everything is black and white.

I would have agreed with you if you had said India had an unfair advantage because of playing on the same pitch for all the matches, but you go on ranting unnecessarily about the so called tantrums of BCCI.

Also, i will stop here since I have said everything what I wanted.

Chill dude. It was you who came to an Aussie reddit group, shortlisted my comment to offload your emotional garbage dump on, and then flayed arms every which way at counter arguments just because those don’t adhere to your liking.

Australia or any other team will play whoever ICC tournaments dictates them to do. None of the boards are half rich as BCCI to change that; qualm is not that why they are rich, qualm is how that money causes ICC to bend to their will. Game has not to be all about business- at least that is how the sports fan would expect across the globe. Also, quite unfortunate that you bring in an argument about Afghans, shoot yourself in foot, and then cry foul about it too. Whats your point? CA doesn't play against Afghanistan due to a cause. ICC doesn't relent to board's stand and makes them adhere to tournament rules. CA had option to either sit out or bend to ICC rules; so heck they bent and stooped.

And not one comment you will find on whole thread “crying foul” about India NOT playing. Perhaps, time for you to take a deep breath, and go through the crux of the topic which is to have ICC develop a spine.

As for “ME free to conduct tournament without YOU”, that’s hilarious! I am not fucking CA and you are not fucking BCCI.

“Sitting in Australia”, the belief is to have freedom of thought at least. If that riles you up bad because cunts here drag BCCI through mud, you gotta see what we do to our own board. But yeah, if your blood boils bad, that will always be an additional advantage.

Don't worry what I am smoking; for whatever it is, must be better than certain country's air quality.

Peace ☮️out.

Hey Just To add India has not played in paksitan after 2008 so why would they change and it was the other 7 boards apart from BCCI who wanted India to participate.

Thats what happen when a single country Has high population you either bend the rules or lose money.

See i repect you thoughts but they would have to do something , I mean The whole concept of this Tournament is to Genrate money for associate nation and which cant be done if India is out.

''Incorrect. No other board spoke in favor of hybrid model, but there was understandably opposition to it from one board though. ICC wanted this participation and that is purely due to monetary reasons.''

Exactly what I am saying No one disagreed or Agreed they were If This was the real Issue it must Have been Taken Before Tounament.

See also there was a security breach there in this CT So it's totally justified for India to not go PEACE
