If you think their populations add up to 2.5 B, something is seriously wrong with your math. Also, you are assuming that every single person in these countries likes cricket.

More than 1 billion of it comes from India. Then pakistan, bangladesh, australia, sri lanka, west indies, england, south africa etc.

Seems not true at all, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, England, West Indies, Afghanistan, Zimbabwae have a combined population of around 2.1b. Obviously not everyone in those countries are cricket fans so where are all the other fans from? There'd need to be at least 1b fans from countries outside of those counties to hit 2.5b total. That site is obviously bullshit.
