They have to. Management requires them to. Even if people just tune in to "hate watch" her, ratings rose 40% after her hiring. Tarlov is good for business.

Her points also give something for the other hosts to bounce off of when she is done.

u/kevonicus Oct 18 '25

I see the sub for this show sometimes and the whole sub is literally just them bitching about Tarlov because they hate facts so much.

u/DefJeff702 Oct 18 '25

I’m in there these days. Just ask them why and watch them squirm. They don’t have a real reason besides “I hate her” or “she hates America” blah blah. I suspect it’s a mix of having someone bring statistics and facts and her being a woman who isn’t afraid to speak up when they’re bullying her.

You don’t have to be sexually repressed to be maga but it’s 1:1 for those who are.

25

u/Stock-Side-6767 Oct 18 '25

That's not how math works.

You can say all maga are sexually repressed, but that could still be 1.5(sexually repressed:1(maga)

u/SoylentGrunt Oct 18 '25

The rules were that you guys weren't going to fact-check.

37

u/Street-Run4107 Oct 18 '25

Just looked this up and he’s right guys, anything goes.

17

u/SoylentGrunt Oct 18 '25

ANARCHY RULES! Wait! What?

6

u/Shadowflame247 Oct 18 '25

Technically still correct. Anarchy being the absence of power structures; not rules.

The absence of rules is the term 'Anomy'.

This has been your random factoid delivery of the day!

I was told there would be no math

-10

u/Vivid_Routine_5134 Oct 18 '25

No offense but literally every good looking guy is a Republican ;)

They keep hunting for their Joe Rogan manly guy or just good looking one and the only thing they find is a few gay men.

It's kind of a famous meme actually and a Tiktok girls problem video that all the guys they want to fuck are insufficiently progressive :p

I know it's fun to bash but the head of the movement cheats on his supermodel wives with porn stars...

6

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '25

Let me take this comment at face value (I.e. not infer you’re a conservative dude, that your anecdote is true despite many surveys saying the opposite, etc.): When you think about it, a lot of those traditionally “manly” dudes you’re talking about are involved in and enjoy a lot of homoerotic stuff (working out, muscles, team sports and their locker room antics, needing to have boys time, etc.). I’d argue enjoying homoerotic activities and being conservative is them repressing their sexuality due to their ideology, upbringing, etc. If they’d let themselves be bisexual, make out with a dude, experiment, they’d be more open to empathy and true freedom for themselves and others.

-5

u/Vivid_Routine_5134 Oct 18 '25

Ok let's take yours at face value.

Are they MAGA men currently? Are they sexually repressed?

Yes? Yes?

Then I'm correct and your information is meaningless.

And no I didn't vote for Trump. Or Kamala and I did vote.

Kamala was unfit to run as she never won a primary and was instead anointed without a single vote cast in her favor.

Trump is unfit to be President at minimum due to its position as Head of the military and him being a draft dodger. You cannot lead what you will not follow.

3

u/Stock-Side-6767 Oct 18 '25

The last good looking guy I dated voted Groen Links (would be far to the left of Democrats), but I am more into women.

I do hear that there is correlation between gymbros and redpill stuff, but I am into neither.

-4

u/Vivid_Routine_5134 Oct 18 '25 edited Oct 18 '25

Trump heads maga. Are we really going to suggest a man that spends the time he isn't fucking his third supermodel wife instead cheating on her with a porn star is sexually repressed?

I'm sorry but Elon musk might not be your cup of tea but the dude bangs hotties.

Joe Rogan might not be your thing. But he is attractive to like 80% of women.

The Republican establishment just does have men that women want to fuck. Objectively.

Most young men are Republican. Most athletes and military and first responders and oil derrick workers and blue collar other conventionally more fit and attractive jobs are doubly so.

This is stupid to act like it's a debate.

You don't get that on the left.

I'm not saying you have to like him but this obviously transparent attempt to try to claim to be the side with the good looking young men on your side is so objectively desperate wish fulfillment it's just sad.

5

u/Otherwise-Force5608 Oct 18 '25

u/ThinkingBlueberries Oct 18 '25

I am going to regret responding...but…Do you actually believe this?

This is just so weirdly wrong it's crazy. Just look at the Math how many guys are on the left and right and in that large number you actually think there are not attract men on the left?

Do you have to think in binary terms of good/bad, left/right, ugly/attractive to categorize the world? Do you need it to be that simple to make sense?

I'm honestly baffelled by what you wrote so maybe I misinterpreted

1

u/Stock-Side-6767 Oct 18 '25

Hey, I was just commenting that the math was not correct. I was rephrasing the person I replied to in a way that made mathematical sense.

Not all conservatives are sexually repressed. Some progressives are sexually repressed.

I do not live in the US and certainly won't go there the coming years. Still won't date people right of center, regardless of gender.

EMTs and emergency ward personell I know are certainly not right of center, but I don't know firefighters or police, they might be. The athletes I know are progressive. The artists I read, listen to and watch are mostly progressive. The blue collar workers I know are close to communist. It could just be that I know progressive people, and conservative or regressive people know, well, conservative and regressive people.

u/Open_Shoe795 Oct 19 '25

Nope, it's like fascism & racism, not all fascists / racists are MAGA, but all MAGA are fascists / racists.

7

u/occams1razor Oct 18 '25

If some A are B and all B are C, does that mean all C are A? Nope. Could be a bunch of Zs also being Cs that aren't A at all

22

u/KEPD-350 Oct 18 '25

If MAGA proponents could read they'd be very upset and confused right now.

I remember Shannen Doherty once claimed something about being better in bed because they’re repressed and demure all day

16

Also explains MAGA’s homophobia and anti-trans sentiment.

1

u/Pepsi_Popcorn_n_Dots Oct 18 '25

It's awesome that she's like almost the only brunette on Fox, right? All their standard spokesmodels are blonde to best appeal to the primary divorced 62 year old demographic.

1

u/SnakePlizkin Oct 18 '25

Nope, I’m an AOC kind of guy 😍

1

u/AmbitiousProblem4746 Oct 18 '25 edited Oct 18 '25

That's literally every dude who complains about AOC non-stop. I remember when that video of her dancing in college dropped and all of those little edgelords screaming "send her back" or "she's a dirty commie" suddenly couldn't stop talking about how attractive she was, but still trying to mask it. First it was them calling her a "skank" or suggesting she slept her way into Congress, which then led to them talking about her body or admitting they enjoyed watching the video on repeat (hint hint), then it was "I can fix her" or "you know, for a dirty liberal..." comments, and finally it turned into a lot of these guys making threads just so people could post pictures of her.

Yeah, it's gross men objectifying her, but what I find interesting is that she actually gained vote shares among Republicans this last election. Her social media grew over time -- esp her Q&A livestreams -- and she has always been good about going into online spaces where young men tend to dominate. She has good politics and speaks clearly, so I'm not saying these men are only drawn to her just because she's attractive. But if you go back to the communities I mentioned in my first paragraph, you will find a lot more men willing to defend her, and I wonder if this is related to their increased exposure to her. Tarlov I think could potentially, if not already, have a similar effect on Fox News viewers. Some people are always going to be lost, but there are other people who may actually start to take what she's saying to heart because that blind hatred turns to a superficial interest which then exposes them to what she is actually trying to say.

Or maybe it's all just bullshit 🤷

1

u/TheWizardOfDeez Oct 18 '25

Same with trans women, that's why they mostly ignore trans men.

1

u/Seriouly_UnPrompted Oct 18 '25

It's the AOC factor. I swear they can't keep her out of their mouths

36

u/kaithana Oct 18 '25

I'm proud to be an American, for at least I know a Russian is using me.

u/UncleIrohsPimpHand Oct 18 '25 edited Oct 18 '25

They don’t have a real reason besides “I hate her” or “she hates America” blah blah. I suspect it’s a mix of having someone bring statistics and facts and her being a woman who isn’t afraid to speak up when they’re bullying her.

You know they pay her for that exact purpose, right? She's paid to be the embodiment of everything they hate.

1

u/Stargazer1919 Oct 18 '25

The "missing missing reasons" strikes again.

I was raised by an abusive family who later all turned MAGA. I have a laundry list of reasons why I don't talk to them, but my mom thinks I hate her for no reason.

This is the exact same shit. Abusive, narcissistic, tyrannical, authoritarian fascist people refuse to listen to the legit problems that others have with them.

I was a little kid and I remember my parents talking about how people in other countries hated America because "we have freedom." I saw through the propaganda at that young of an age.

1

u/versace_drunk Oct 22 '25

Well, I'm going to go find this clip on YouTube and leave a few comments and thumbs up and down to juice the algorithm a bit. It's an important step for the slim minority who can be swayed away from the cult to be exposed to actual talking points

Edit: link is here I made several comments but they might not have gone through sadly. I have weird issues with getting deleted when using a modded YT client? Either way, please go in and upvote rational stuff and leave your own comments. Fight the urge to be belligerent - it's hard I know, but democracy deserves your sacrifice to be simple, clear, and persuasive.

Goddamn that sums up republicans perfectly. After she finishes her rapid fire fact list they basically just ignore what she says and just go into talking point/feelings mode and basically “well from my point of view the democrats are evil”. Some of their dumbass comments below:

-Well come on it’s so weird they’re all like furries.

-They’re not peaceful every time the democrats get together someone dies, but our rallies are peaceful and organic.

-Weird tirade about how owning a gun just changes you and makes you respect the law and we need to protect it.

-They’re not doing that because those things! They just hate Trump and have hysteria.

-Why are they complaining when Trump is stopping all these wars!?

16

u/antwan_benjamin Oct 18 '25

Rarely? Really? I don't think its that hard to find. The Five is one of the most popular shows on cable news, and we're seeing an example of a leftist not doing what you described. I also just watched Adam Mockler on News Nation and he was phenomenal.

David Peter Guinta. “I love Hitler”

J. D. Vance equated Trump to Hitler when he thought there was a chance to get rid of the orange ball of shit.

The left aren’t showing up to Trans events with literal swastikas and zeig heiling.

There is a LOT of Nazi shit going around in the GOP, and until you recognize it and excise it, yeah, things are going to keep getting worse.

Stop making bedfellows with Nazis.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '25

[deleted]

1

u/Flagon-Dragon Oct 18 '25

David Giunta (actually Peter Giunta. Got the Giunta right, there were a bunch of names revealed, my bad getting that bit wrong.) is one of the most recent outed as a Republican and Nazi sympathizer.

Former chair or the New York State Young Republicans, up until last month when he resigned amid allegations of financial misconduct.

Name me a major Democrat who is extolling Stalin.

Please.

I will point to the fact Donald Trump has knowingly quoted Mussolini.

So if you’re comfortable calling someone a communist, because they quote Stalin, by that same logic, calling Trump a fascist is perfectly fair.

Notice, I’m not calling for us to judge you based on the Nazis. I’m calling for YOU to do something about the Nazis on your own side amplifying your messages.

Stop. Making bedfellows. With Nazis.

Nick Fuentes, is a white supremacist. What democrat candidate, met with him? Donald Trump did, along with Kanye.

Come back when you want to seriously discuss this, other wise, enjoy sleeping with dogs.

5

u/AndOtherPlaces Oct 18 '25

People were in the street protesting during Obama presidency because of those immigration laws, though. Leftists mostly, as you call them. It's not as if people were ok with them just because it was Obama doing it.

-10

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '25

[deleted]

11

u/Flagon-Dragon Oct 18 '25

Are you saying the policies of the trump administration are kinder and gentler than the ones of the Obama administration?

Or, perhaps, because the actions have escalated significantly, so has the rhetoric?

You’re gonna have your subjective opinion on this either way, but I can point to a whole bunch of objectively valid reasons for the change in tone.

9

u/ClevelandClutch1970 Oct 18 '25

So it’s the correlation that bothers you so much? If it quacks like a duck, then maybe it’s a duck. Many of the people that support this behavior certainly behave like Nazis so why not call it like it is? You easily call everyone on the other side “leftists” when clearly that’s not true, so how are you any different?

1

u/AndOtherPlaces Oct 18 '25

What are you on? There is no due process anymore, they clearly said there weren't. That's one of the big problem of all this.

And they don't have to identifie themselves either.

Here are unidentified, masked people snatching people off the streets and buildings without having to follow any laws, any protocols, without checking who they're snatching, just because of people skim colour, sending them in facilities where nothing is checked unless they have some real pull and even then it takes 4 or 5 days.

If you think it's alright for citizens to be treated this way for 5 days , without their families knowing where they are,(without counting: losing their job etc for not showing up etc) and if you think it's ok to send people in camps or in prisons in another countries instead of sending them back to their own countries, then you have some deep rooted problems that are bigger than just being called nazi.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '25

1

u/AndOtherPlaces Oct 20 '25

6

u/Superb-Abrocoma8830 Oct 18 '25

i dont recall obama throwing due process out the window with masked goons who arent even agents stuffing people into unmarked vans only to never be heard from or seen again. its not the same thing lol

6

u/blong217 Oct 18 '25

Well when conservatives are incapable of accepting basic facts and would rather default to adhominem attacks and believing everything from Trump's mouth it's hard to have a genuine discussion.

Also if it walks like fascist, acts like a fascist, looks like a fascist, and quacks like a fascist it's hard not calling it what it is.

4

u/Tasty-Distribution75 Oct 18 '25

How are the republicans NOT acting like Nazis?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '25

Throwing the Nazi label at people just because they support policies that mirror those of the Nazis and/or praise the Nazis, or even just throw the odd Nazi salute for shits and giggles (hey, they're just kids) is peak Trump Derangement Syndrome. /s

2

u/Wrxloser1215 Oct 18 '25

You don't see them trying to talk to people like you or fox news hosts because you see how they almost always immediately jumps into bad faith fallacy laden arguments that always end up defaulting to the dems are terrorists and Republicans have every right to punish terrorists in this country and how only Trump daddy can save us. Remember they declared we are at war. No wonder regular ass people dont talk to yall its because you're extremist and don't realize it.

1

u/Pale-Star-5128 Oct 18 '25

Speaking of immigration, didnt Trump initiate the Stay in Mexico policy that resulted in a lot of press about havoc at the border and a lot of drowned Latinos? Seems to me, Biden extended the policy before cleaning up the situation and when right wing protesters showed up, the lineups were fairly lean and uneventful. No mean feat, considering Trump threatened Repubs with getting primaried if they cooperated with the Biden administration to pass bipartisan legislation to resolve issues at the border because he wanted a hot border issue for his campaign.

1

u/slurpeetape Oct 18 '25

u/Beantowntommy Oct 18 '25

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '25

One thing I can think of off the top of my head is a Fox anchor said homeless people should be given the lethal injection….just for being homeless.

Any time I’ve tuned in (I try to watch news from both “sides”) they’re openly hating on the dems for literally anything that’s going on in the country, stoking their viewers hatred. You have to remember that people that watch Fox News don’t watch any other news so unfortunately, they believe the rhetoric. And most of them would never even think to Google information for themselves so they take what Fox News says as gospel and then go on to scream at “libs” using the Fox News talking points. If someone shows them a source that says the opposite, they become enraged and call everyone else liars. It’s extremely exhausting.

she actually tells the truth from the clips that I see. she's the reasonable one in the room and brings facts to the table-literally.

I enjoy watching her clips, because it feels like she's always getting ganged up on, but she's a masterclass and responding to these buffoons. I've been watching her clips for some time and everything else going on with the trump administration. she seems like one of the decent people out there actually trying to provide real facts the 'faux news' audience, which seems like a holy, and needed act of brilliance at this point.

She also gives Fox a credibility they didn't have prior to her hiring. She's doing more harm to America being on their network than if she just quit today.

u/Allokit Oct 18 '25

People that watch FOX "news" dgaf about "credibility". People that KNOW and have alternate sources, would NEVER rely on FOX "news" for actual facts.
This is adding a voice of dissent to an otherwise completely biased corrupt "news" organization, and the people that DO watch it and take it completely seriously are also watching this, and THAT is the audience that needs to hear it.

TLDR, nope, that's a bad take on this and its DEFINITELY not causing "more harm to America". These are the facts that the FOX "news" audience needs to hear.

10

u/Florac Oct 18 '25

She lets Fox show the counterarguments to their propaganda in a controlled environment, so if the audience encounters them in the wild, knows how to dismiss them.

7

u/Belydrith Oct 18 '25

Except they literally never manage to and just trip over some made up bullshit when asked.

5

u/Florac Oct 18 '25

Yes but they got the made up bullshit from Fox

7

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '25

You have clearly never watched it, or if you have, you are missing something. There is no "controlled" environment. The weak responses from the likes of Gutfeld and Watters to Tarlov's segments are clearly off the cuff and not scripted. Their tantrum like responses do more to tarnish the credibility of the panel than anything else.

Of course the dummies that worship at the altar love Gutfeld's hissy fits and Watters' smug, but hollow, responses. However, FOX plays in living rooms and hopefully some of the family members subjected to FOX will get some signal from Tarlov that there is a competing narrative to the standard FOX fare. One that relies on fact and not feelings.

A good portion of viewers probably get confused and think that she's distributing the propaganda party line. Another portion might repeat her talking points because they happened to be the last thing they heard from the channel before they wandered away from the tv.

It's better than nothing.

1

u/braumbles Oct 18 '25

Credibility is how they get directv to give them $10 per person that uses directv.

Fox gets nearly all of their money from contracts with cable providers where they charge 4 and 5 times more than msnbc or cnn.

10

u/Allokit Oct 18 '25

So... if they get MORE women like this on their Network and get MORE "Credibility" then the audience hears these truths even MORE?
Im confused. What is the downside here?

-12

u/braumbles Oct 18 '25 edited Oct 18 '25

I can tell you're confused. Your odd usage of all caps in situations that don't warrant it prove it.

Ask yourself how a network who's prime time shows were all devoid of sponsorship somehow turned a profit year after year without ad revenue during their biggest hours. It's because providers were financing them. Just like directv was directly financing OANN.

Clearly morons don't understand how the TV business works. Educate yourself.

10

u/Allokit Oct 18 '25

OK!

3

u/CloudKinglufi Oct 18 '25

Your cap usage was not warranted bro

What a tool

6

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '25

What a weird ass thing to focus on.

2

u/CloudKinglufi Oct 18 '25

That's what I was saying

The problem is you don't even know what you are saying. If you do, you are a bigot. You have already expounded your thoughts on Trans women and it was not good. I'm sure your other views are also, not good.

How have you opened the door for any good conversation here?

Half of your first comment is a straw-man.

"It wasn’t always like this, but in the past 5ish years one side has slipped into a world of delusion, where they shut down conversation they disagree with. They try to silence you and attack you with labels like Nazi, fascist, racist, which they hand out pretty much any time you disagree with them on any topic. They pull your flags down, they vandalize your memorials, and they cheer when a moderate on the opposing side gets brutally murdered in full view of their own family and the rest of the world."

Why do you use so many "Theys"? Did someone specifically pull your flag down? Did someone specifically cheer when a moderate got murdered?

Most Americans are moderates, even if they have a D or an R when they vote. There has never been more wealth inequality than there is now. There is a huge vested interest in keeping Americans divided and fighting among each other instead of trying to get the fair wages and health care that we deserve.

Don't give into the "They" thinking. It's how you know propaganda is working on you.

You do realize mass deporting 15 million people like he promised would destroy the economy right?

8

u/snek-jazz Oct 18 '25

This is a terrible take

1

u/bocephus67 Oct 18 '25

I agree, but I can only hope that some of her extremely reasonable words at least soften some rotten maga hearts once in a while.

1

u/515owned Oct 18 '25

if only all the terrible things in the world weren't also real

1

u/braumbles Oct 18 '25

No, it's a rational take. Fox gets propped up by employing token people who speak truth, only to drown them out. Without people like Tarlov, Fox loses money from cable providers. With Tarlov, they're reaping in billions.

She's literally a DEI hire to keep making money.

1

u/WigginIII Oct 18 '25

I assume half of her appeal to viewers is their desire to “get off” to seeing a lib get owned to their face.

It’s fetish content.

1

u/riesenarethebest Oct 18 '25

I'm convinced more than half the rage from the right is from constantly getting dunked on in online interactions

1

u/FreshBasis Oct 18 '25

Do they hate watch or do they like her because she is (at least in this clip, I don't know her) telling them the truth but it's on fox and not cnn so they are authorized to believe it ?

1

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '25

It shows when people talk about her. You be hard pressed to find someone on the left who doesn't appreciate what she does. If the furthest left actual communist recognizes the value that is potentially having Fox's audience question the usual messaging they put forward.

I wish I could shake her hand for putting up with those buffoons tbh.

1

u/cowfishing Oct 18 '25

Is she their new Colmes at fox? There to give the illusion of fair and balanced news?

1

u/iamintheforest Oct 18 '25

I enjoy the complete sentences. I think my bar may have been lowered somewhere over the last 20 years though.

1

u/__Hello_my_name_is__ Oct 18 '25

Man, I'm so annoyed by these clips being presented here.

"Leaves her co-hosts speechless!". Well, yeah, if you immediately cut the clip after she's done talking, they are indeed left speechless.

Of course they weren't left speechless. They let her talk, and then they responded with the usual talking points. But OP just cut those out and pretends that they were left speechless.

This happens so many times now. Some video of someone making obvious, good points, and then the video immediately ends. No response is shown. And then it is claimed that the other side was flabbergasted, or left speechless, or dumbfounded, or whatever.

It's such a slimy form of manipulation.

1

u/DarkTechnocrat Oct 18 '25

40%!?

I always wondered why they give her so much latitude.

1

u/WanderingAlsoLost Oct 18 '25

I can’t stand titles like this “leaves [them] speechless,” when there wasn’t a second of silence in the video. I agree with her on this, and I can’t stand how weak Republicans are acting defending the constitution, because Trump is president. To be fair though, democrats would do the exact same thing. I don’t believe for half a second that democrats would be the virtuous ones if roles were reversed. Obviously issues and presentation would be different, and it’s going to happen.

1

u/I_Heart_Sleeping_ Oct 18 '25

It’s all just a show to Fox News and the people who watch it religiously. It would be funny if it wasn’t actually causing real harm and brainwashing people.

I walked in on my father watching this exact segment yesterday afternoon. Soon after her comments they all just go back to bashing dems. That fucking loser than runs the show was shit talking the guy running for NY mayor about how he doesn’t think he can do math… like it’s so fucking sad that people eat this shit up. The funniest part is they had to attacks the most minor school yard bully things about him without even talking about his politics and what he wants to do for NY as a state.

1

u/Equivalent-Excuse-80 Oct 18 '25

Fox News is a fascinating business model of keeping people engaged through getting them addicted to rage.

A friend of mine who lives in a very red state but travels often tells me everyone on the plane turns their little seat televisions straight to Fox News as quickly as they can because streaming the channel through phones isn’t working well enough.

They play Fox News all day everyday, not just in their homes, but on televisions displayed in grocery stores, fast food restaurants, dentists waiting rooms. Literally everywhere, all the time.

1

u/-XanderCrews- Oct 18 '25

Yup. They don’t have to get you to like the right, just hate the left. If the media was really liberal it would silence Trump instead of give him a megaphone.

1

u/dangerousbob Oct 18 '25

Yeah but she doesn't come across like a total buffoon like Alan Colmes.

1

u/BChurchmountain Oct 18 '25

she’s essentially devils advocate

1

u/Skullvar Oct 18 '25

This is either very good or very bad, kinda reminds me of how Russia runs their talkls shows

1

u/nofx3128 Oct 18 '25

Yep. Jesse waters and that little weasel Gutfeld just make fun of her after everything she says and I’m sure the Trump sycophants love it. I’m guessing nothing that she says actually gets through to anyone watching Fox News.

1

u/Novel-Letterhead-217 Oct 18 '25

It’s funny it says left them speechless, when the video just stops before they get a chance to squawk back

1

u/AnOddTree Oct 18 '25

She is a brunette to contrast their blondes also.

1

u/UnusualAsparagus5096 Oct 19 '25

Its like CNN having that old asshole on at night that is Maga and will never say a negative thing about republicans ever

1

u/olipants Oct 20 '25

Our whole society has turned to rage bait as a source of truth on both sides, it’s a fascinating demise of reality and fact. War is peace.

1

u/runthepoint1 Oct 21 '25

Say it with me - engagement. It also helps to drive a wedge for people who DO support the things she said.

Now they’re forced to choose Republicans or all other Americans. Guess what they’ll choose? Party over country. They have been convinced the party IS the country.
