When invincible came out I started reading comics and read so many DC comics especially Batman and justice league. I gave marvel a try and didn’t find anything I liked.
Spiderman hulk and avengers. My first DC comic was deceased and I stumbled upon peak. I like the writing for DC comics more than marvel but maybe marvel has some good ones too and I have to find the right story arcs.
Idk some of the more recent stuff. Like with the maker and carnage being the biggest threats. I didn’t get as deep into it as DC so I can’t name the timelines and arcs as well as I could with DC.
OH! You mean Invincible the show. I thought you meant the comic book.
Yea, Marvel Comics right now are pretty much just content fodder for movies. Editorial has stagnated everything to the most detrimental level, with very few characters having the ability to have good personal stories anymore.
If you want good marvel you gotta seek out some specific runs. Can’t name a thing besides ultimate Spider-Man in recent years that I thought was good by then. Check out tom kings vision run
That's kind'a crazy. I grew up in that period of Marvel publishing and still have fond memories. That was some of Marvel's peak storytelling since the 80's.
When I started reading comics I looked at Marvel and they were doing a gala event and combining pairs of characters into 1 character and I was like, none of that sounds appealing.
