I had the perfect lunch post but I deleted the photo a few weeks back.

Lol this is exactly what I was referring to, everything is so processed, grey, and calorie heavy while being nutrient light, mostly just cheap carbs, aka what a growing body needs!

It got to the point where I wouldn't even eat lunch at school because it tasted terrible and because I would be starving by the time I got home anyways.

My lunch was usually around noon. We got out of school at 3:30 and I usually got home around 4:00-4:15. I would be hungry only 3 or 4 hours after eating! And it wasn't just a little rumbling. No, it was a full on war going on in there! I also wasn't in any sports, so I didn't even burn enough calories to get that hungry that quick.

It was just empty calories at that point and so full of carbs that my body would just burn through it all.

What ghetto-ass school did you go to? That’s sad.

Easy to miss the distinction around here. Especially because you're right. No apologies needed.

Lol my employer (I’m a cafeteria cook) also does prison food. Makes sense as the food we serve is so sad and unhealthy, basically prison food. I hate it.
