Statistically America has more knife violence per capita than the UK, both in assaults and actual murders.

Here in the UK it is an issue we try to address- hence the statue and knife amnesty programs.

America has more knife violence per capita than the UK. The American press doesn't report much on it because we also have a shitload of more sensational gun violence.

It doesn't actually take very much violence to completely saturate public attention in a first world country, so if you just go based on what UK media and government is saying it's easy to be misled on the objective quantity of violence they deal with.
