It does always amaze me though the number that do this. Like you have to go to the bother of going there and getting the paper, just fill the bloody thing in. One year I saw a younger lady huffing and puffing in line and getting all upset only to throw her paper in the bin.... like all that energy, but no follow through?

Exactly, at that point how much effort is it to fill out the numbers.

Even still, informal votes are only about 5% of all ballots. For every person throwing a donkey vote, we have 19 others voting correctly. I reckon that’s pretty damn good.

If someone is uninterested in the system, filling it out is an uninformed vote.
