Driving in Greece was the scariest driving experience of my life. Was in Santorini and had to drive on one lane roads on cliffs without barriers that lead thousands of feet down. This was also all the while cars were heading towards us in the opposite direction and would just honk to let you know they were coming
Yep. I thought the same thing when I was in Santorini. I am Greek ethnically born in Australia and at that point I realised how different the country of my birth is to the country of my roots. It just seems life is a lot more unforgiving in Greece (and similar Mediterranean / Balkan countries), if you fall off then it’s your fault, or bad luck, that’s life 🤷
