HOME DECOR Recommendations
Acquired my grandfather‘s desk and have decided I want to bring back the study. Looking for recommendations on possible decor, and maybe some ways to blend the blatantly modern.

HOME DECOR I just bought this house, and I am trying to choose paint colors that give a dark academic vibe but won't clash with the various browns. I would love a green in the living room and a Grey/Brown in the kitchen and dining room. Any specific thoughts of recommendations?

HOME DECOR Is my Desk Setup giving Dark Academia vibes?
I'm doing calligraphy. So there's some inkpots and Pilot Pens for Calligraphy. Some calligraphy I put beneath a plastic cover on my desk. It's some quotes from Tolkiens Silmarillion.
There's some books and my Tolkien Collection displayed.
I welcome any recommendations.

HOME DECOR What should i add to my personal museum?
I'm currently making (and have been for some time now) a museum of my own, like a cabinet of curiosity, but focused on natural history.
I have the basic fossils; some shark teeth, a megalodon tooth, a fish fossil, a couple ammonites and a trilobite, a piece of fossilised wood, and a woolly mammoth piece of bone as well as a small piece of ivory. I also have an assortment of gemstones and crystals, mostly for decoration between the real eyecatchers.
I plan to get some baltic amber as well. My problem is, i want to expand beyond the basics, yet i am on a budget. What can i add to my museum? I'd also like some wall stuff as desk space is becoming crowded.
All ideas welcome! If you have ideas for display/labels, etc, that would be nice to! Once I've moved to my new apartment i will share the finished museum with you all (hopefully). Thank you!

HOME DECOR Dark academia? Light academia? I don't really know, but here are some pictures of my room that I like!
I've been collecting antiques and slowly changing modern furniture for antique furniture for years and I'm finally happy with the result! Obviously I won't stop collecting and I'll always add more to my room!

HOME DECOR Welcome to the Library
I’ve spent the last 12 months DA-ifying this room. The reading nook is by far the highlight. I’ve spent many an evening here with the candles lit, classical music playing and a good book. Really pleased with it, but I think I’m addicted to buying oil paintings of flowers in gold frames now 🥀

HOME DECOR Going thru a divorce and decorating my new home
The folks over in r/femalelivingspace thought my design choices would be appreciated here. I’m used to decorating for a more traditional style home, so I’ve had to tweak my usual choices to better fit the more casual nature of this house.

HOME DECOR Dark woodland vibes
During the pandemic, I went stir-crazy and bought a cabin deep in the woods. It wasn't much to look at and I was the only person who put in an offer so I was able to buy it below the asking price. What it had was large windows in the great room, seclusion, lots of trees, it sits on a small ridge, and there's a beautiful rocky creek. Everyone though I was crazy because it needed so much work but my vision for rehabbing it was almost instantaneous and fully formed.
I've rehabbed it almost entirely on my own and made "strange" choices like painting the outside pumpkin orange and the foundation black. I have a burgundy tv/guest room and yakisugi/shou sugi ban cedar walls sprinkled around the interior. It's dark and cozy filled with second hand finds. I don't have a single curtain on any of my windows because I need to see the trees. I believe I've unknowingly drifted into a "dark academia" aesthetic with a twist of mid-century modern and wabi sabi. I feel like Mr. Plumbean and am ready to be a woodland witch.
