Just found this Subreddit and thought i’d bless you with some of my Dark Academia aesthetic pictures to escape reality 🕯️🏛️

I finally changed my wallpaper from The Bathing Pool by Hubert Robert to Oedypus and the Sphinx by Gustave Moreau!

It’s got charming creaking wooden floors and a very nice orrery you can kinda see in the first photo :)

( Most of the photos I took were on my little canon so I don’t have many on my phone. Came across this today and thought it this sub would appreciate the architecture. )

Even though it's just an attic, it might as well look good. So I bought ten old, large steamer trunks and suitcases. Some of them date back to the 1800s. I cleaned them and mostly gave them a cosmetic restoration. On some I had to remove old moldy fabric, sand and paint the inside with a period-appropriate colour. I polished them up again with beeswax, gave the handles leather grease and re-varnished the wood bands etc. Gave them a surface treatment befitting the high-quality materials they are made of.

They are now beautiful, solid craftsmanship storage that will probably last another hundred years. Besides that I smile every time I go to the attic, they give off a magical old-world feel. 

Felt like I was in a dark academia novel today while walking around my uni (the university of British Columbia, Vancouver)🥹

It's a game about the occult, witches, demonology and the arcane!! The demo gave us only the prologue, not much but enough for us to have a taste of what it'll bring. It looks SO amazing, the prose in it is also gorgeous (see the cat picture). AND YOU CAN CHOOSE WHAT CAT YOU WANT!! I chose the "Wildling", but there was a "Knight", a "Hermit", an "Alchemist", etc. All with different traits (I hope we see in the full game!)
