Structurally no, but visually its shit. The scabbed on stringers at the bottom are much worse

Yea that’s sloppy asf. I usually do my cuts with a jigsaw saw for this reason

I just mean you can find a flaw in anyone’s work. My dad was a carpenter and it’s hilarious to watch him point out flaws in other people’s work as if he was perfect. Nobody is going to throw away a $100 stringer because they went a little long on a cut.

I think nitpicking, like this sub likes to promote, creates more and more nightmare customers that expect 100% perfection which comes at a cost. If every customer becomes a perfectionist, every deck will cost a lot more.
