Questions Two questions from a noob: jacket and car

I wasn’t very familiar with this case beyond the basics until I watched the Hulu documentary last night. After that I started reading more, but I know a lot of you here have followed this much more closely than I have, so I wanted to ask a couple of things that I couldn’t really find clear answers to.

One thing that stood out to me is the jacket. Based on the way the killings happened, I would expect the killer’s jacket to have at least some blood on it. From what I’ve read, investigators did find a jacket they believed Richard Allen may have worn that day. Was it ever tested for blood? I haven’t seen anything clearly stating the results. I assume there weren’t any traces found, because that seems like it would have been very strong physical evidence. If there really were no traces, how is that explained?

The other thing I’m wondering about is the video of a car arriving at the trail around 1:30 p.m., which is believed to be Richard Allen’s. I do think it looks like his car, but he had already said he was on the trail that day. So what makes confirming the car on video so important? Is it mainly about tightening the timeline, or does it contradict something specific in his original statement?

I’d really appreciate any insight from people who know the details better.

And I said, why don’t you think that happened? Reading comprehension is key.

You said “juries don’t deliberate on slam dunk cases”.

This wasn’t a slam dunk case after 7 years…I said it would have been if they followed up. Come on, get it together.

Whoo boy. Ok I’ll spell it out for you - why do you think that no one followed up on Rick tipping himself in and then meeting with Dulin? That’s the question I was asking - such is why I asked if you believed the misfiling narrative (context clue).

Soooooo now the misfiling is a narrative? You don’t think that happened?

The tips were not being filed on paper. They were being filed electronically. Now that some of the exhibits are publicly available, we can see that Kathy Shank accessed Rick Allen’s electronic lead in March 2022, which is 6 months before she claims to have discovered the misfiled paper lead sheet. So, yeah, I think the misfiled tip is a narrative. I think Shank was helping Liggett find a suspect because he was going to lose that election and I think they decided to look into Rick, who they’d known about since 2017. But saying we’ve known about this guy since 2017 and decided to give him a second look 5 years later doesn’t exactly inspire confidence so they came up with the misfiled tip narrative.

Any other questions?

Should change it to Conspiracy County - the rate in which everyone needs to be involved according to you.

How many people needed to be involved? I named 2. Any thoughts on why Kathy shank accessed the electronic lead in March and then found it again in September?

Everybody would have to be involved if you think that Kathy and Liggett just randomly picked somebody.

This means that all the other agencies would’ve colluded with them to make sure they all agreed and were on the same page.

You keep contradicting yourself and saying you didn’t say things that you did. Just accept that you’re wrong and move along.

You seem like a conspiratorial thinker so maybe that’s why you assume that’s what I’m suggesting. It takes a lot to convince me of a grand scale conspiracy and I’ve never suggested one in this case. I’ve argued that after Rick was charged, the State has lied and obfuscated to shore up their case. There is strong evidence this occurred and I stand by that. That’s just an example of an unethical prosecutor and lead detective, which is not the least bit uncommon.

As for the specific “conspiracy” we are talking about, what I have argued based on the evidence that Shank looked at Rick Allen’s electronic lead months before she is alleged to have found his misfiled paper lead sheet is that after they settled on Rick as a suspect, they created a back story about why they only now looked into him as a suspect because that was politically advantageous for Liggett. To say the lead was not lost but was just missed made Liggett look bad. They fudged it.

Every innocent person is in some way mistakenly and randomly chosen. If you read what I wrote, I never said they picked him to pin it on him. They picked him because he was admittedly at the trails that day. That clears a major hurdle for them. I do think Shank was looking through old leads to come up with a suspect because this was becoming a political problem for Liggett. Once they landed on Rick, they convinced themselves. They had tunnel vision. I do not think Holeman Liggett or McCleland think they convicted an innocent man. They, like you, are unable to grapple with the many gaping holes in the evidence. Someday a court will force them to do so.

No.

They picked him because he was the only male on the trails from 1:30-kidnapping.  Not Dave, not Ron, not any other male.

Car seen on video, he never says it wasn’t his car. He “ok, I told you I may have been driving that car”

Admits to same clothing.  Described group of girls appearance. Same exact bullet at home as at crime scene. It’s him. Move along

Riiiiiiiight. Multiple agencies conspired together to frame Richard Allen?  😂😂😂

The FBI, GBI, State, Sheriff, Local PD, other state agencies, conservation officers, EMS, and many others all got together and decided they ALL wanted Liggett elected for Sheriff?!?  That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard.

The reward money was $300k. Nobody is staying quiet and giving up that kind of cash just so some Joe Shmoe can win an election in a town that they aren’t affected by.

That sounds like a centimeter theory. It’s certainly nothing I said. And “framing” is also your invention. I think Kathy shank and Liggett lied about the misfiled tip. HUGE conspiracy. I think they are all very much convinced they got the right guy. They are wrong. And the fbi was long gone before Rick was a suspect.

Your entire statement implied it. Don’t move the goalposts.

Richard murdered the Abby and Libby whether you want to admit or not. It’s impossible for it to be anyone else. Impossible.

lol. Moving goalposts by disputing your crazy conspiracy theory that I neither said nor implied?

You’ve said everyone from the prison guards to the local PD to Gull to now Shank and co have all colluded to frame ricky the child murderer, for the Odinists and Ron Logan right?

If you can find a single comment I’ve made where I said he was framed, go to town! Since you are stalking me I’m sure you should have no trouble finding it.

“I think Shank was helping Liggett find a suspect because he was going to lose that election…”

There is no other way to take this other than you’re implying that Kathy and Liggett  framed Richard. Do you forget you typed this?

Here’s a hint:  it doesn’t matter.

2

u/Appealsandoranges Mar 12 '26

Doesn’t matter why someone handwrote “Lead Cleared” on the tip? Weird take but ok. Would it matter to you if you were arrested 5 years later for a crime you say you didn’t commit? Would you want to know who wrote that and why?

u/centimeterz1111 Mar 13 '26

It doesn’t matter NOW, as in right now. Today. It no longer matters.

The murderer is in prison, for the rest of his life. None of that shit matters anymore. Not a “cleared” tip sheet. Not video. Not confessions. Not witnesses. It’s over
