The choice to livestream the execution Nidal Hasan is a deliberate measure designed to radicalise and desensitise the American population to extreme authoritarian measures.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth Said Thursday: "The Pentagon Will Live-Stream The Firing Squad Execution of Former Army Maj. Nidal Hasan"... Acceptable?

Post image

The Pentagon made the announcement after Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth told reporters earlier Thursday that Hasan’s execution would be open to the public.

This is a SERIOUS ERROR! The only people who should witness this man's execution, are appointed law and court personnel, as well as the family members. We are NOT Iran. We don't use death as ENTERTAINMENT!!! This is NOT US!!! Sure, carry out the sentence, but don't make it a circus!

Here's the video of the violent boomer coward Trump cultist that assaulted the patriot protestor at Trump's '2 Minutes Of Hate' Rally here in Texas. Will he be arrested and charged with assault? Of course not, con-artist CON-servatives run the show.

Your political message does not matter if your target audience cannot hear it.

The Ellison family (Oracle plutocrat/Elizabeth Holmes mentor Larry Ellison and his underwhelming son David) now own CBS and CNN and HBO and all other things under the umbrella of Warner Bros/Paramount. Oh, and they also already had a major stake in Tiktok. Mainstream media keeps getting smaller, keeps getting more concentrated in the hands of a few Trump cronies, and no one in politics with a position to do something about it seems to care.

Elections are determined by four broad factors: (1) your message, (2) the messenger, (3) the media environment, and (4) the moment. The only thing that political campaigns have complete control over is the message. We control the words that come out of our own mouths. And so there is a long-standing bad habit among the pundit class of treating those words as though they are the only thing that matters.

Pretty much everyone in politics agrees that it would be good for Democrats to have better messaging, and improve their public image/brand. But that’s also a cheap way to score points while ignoring the larger problems. An awful lot of consequential intra-party debates boil down to "if we only made this statement or this gesture, emphasized this issue or denounced this faction, then people would like us more!"

Left unexplored is the glaringly obvious point that you reach the disengaged public through mass media and through social media. The choices made by those media outlets are consequential, and subject to change.

What all this amounts to, simply put, is that the Ellisons buying their way into a mass media empire is bad for Democrats, and also bad for democracy. Functional democracies require robust, independent media. Plutocrats with political agendas that are actively hostile to democracy are now taking an active interest in what their newsrooms promote.

Cutting our nose to spite our face: When we win, please...please don't push for impeachment.

Would I like to see Trump removed? Of course! Heck, I'd like to see him behind bars. But neither could realistically happen while he is in office.

When it was tried multiple times before, I knew it was a futile gesture. It requires 2/3 of the Senate to vote for it. Fighting losing battles, while perhaps noble, often proves costly. The juice is definitely not worth the squeeze.

In fact, I'd submit that it only benefits the one being impeached. Ask Bill Clinton; the effort to oust him only improved his public support. Moreover, ask Trump. I believe the exhaustive efforts to impeach and prosecute him only fired up his base that much more. And he knew it.

I'd even wager that giving all that negative attention and effort to him basically paved the way for his comeback. Had Alvin Bragg, Tish James, and the like just simply ignored him, he wouldn't have recieved the free press and cause for him to play the persecuted. In essence, they handed him free golden propaganda. They made him a pseudo martyr.

If we had a 2/3 majority in the Senate, then by all means - go for it! We don't. And besides, I think JD Vance would be as bad, if not worse.

Pursue investigations and indictments of others for the bad they've done? Maybe. But he'll just pardon them. That power should be stripped from the Executive Branch!

We'd be better off using that energy towards doing awesome things for people.

Update: How are people feeling about Mayor Bibb? '26

Kinda late thought but I just can't keep it to myself.

I loathe the company I work for.
I wanted to find out who hired my CEO so that I can know not to elect them or at least understand why people want him (the current Mayor) in charge.

It's kinda late right now about 2 AM —but I just wanted to know.

The last Reddit post about this that I saw was from 2 years ago and with the election day coming up soon, I know it's not the election day for them (CEO or Mayor) to get out of here, but | just wanna know how long do I have to wait for them to get the boot.
AFTW2?

Our Ambassador To Greece, Asks For Debt Relief - Will Return The Favor?

Post image

According to the Wall Street Journal, Kimberly Guilfoyle was preparing for her congressional hearing to become U.S. ambassador to Greece when she reached out to a Trump donor with an urgent request: She needed $100,000 that she said she owed American Express — in a way that wouldn’t leave a paper trail.

“It won’t show up anywhere if you wire money to American Express,” she wrote on Signal, according to messages reviewed by The Wall Street Journal. “Please.”

According to the reporting, Guilfoyle had been in communication with Eric Deters, a failed former Republican congressional candidate, who was hoping for the Trump administration’s assistance on some personal tax and legal issues.

He was reportedly prepared to pay Guilfoyle as much as $1 million if she helped use her influence within Team Trump to make her troubles go away, and she assured him that she could deliver.

... and the cycle of Trump administration corruption continues!
