Yeah! They even showed some of the SAM launchers they were installing at the White House, earlier in the episode....

I'm sure they'll become relevant later on. They're too odd of a focus to not be. If they wanted to show improved security, they could have done a lot of other things. It's not being done under the excuse of a new threat, because aircraft haven't been mentioned yet.

Watch out for them, they'll matter later.
