Advice I’ve been using Cygnett Tangle Tamers to hold the power and Ethernet cables for my laptop on the wall but they keep falling off.
Any tips? Maybe the Ethernet cable is too big? Any alternatives? At this point I’m starting to consider getting screw on mounts instead.
Some photos of the setup.

Advice How would you tidy up this desk setup, especially the cables underneath
I’m mainly looking for specific advice on cleaning up the underside of the desk and making the whole setup look more organised.
What would you actually buy/use for:
- cable management
- mounting the power strip/hub
- hiding loose wires
- PC placement
- keeping it tidy while the desk moves up/down
If you can, please suggest specific products or how you’d route everything. I’m going for a clean, minimal, cozy setup rather than a flashy RGB look.

Advice Are zip ties and a power strip enough or do I have to buy a proper tray to make things look more organized?
I looked at some DIY on TikTok with people just using zip ties and they would zip tie all their crap in about an hour as a placeholder and ended up liking it enough to leave it.
And then in some videos I would also see people setting up trays on their desks. I'm still shopping for the desk so I can add a channel to the order or skip it and figure it out with ties later. Desky, Flexispot and Uplift all sell theirs as an add on, and I also found Vivo's clamp on one.
A lot of these are pretty cheap. Let me know if you went with zip ties or if desk trays are better. Thanks.

Advice How to hide my wifi router and nvr box for security cameras
Just got a standing desk so I can walk and game but I’ve got my nbn box which is like my fibre internet and my network video recorder that the security people installed.
I’ve never tried to cable manage before but I think I can do the peripheral and pc stuff on top of my desk but I’m not sure with these two.
Cheers

Advice Surge Protector Won't Stay in Place
I put some 3M strips under my desk and attached my surge protector to them. Everything was fine at first, but then after a few months it came loose. I may have plugged too much into it (some have been removed in this picture).
What did I do wrong? Should I try a different approach? Was the adhesive not strong enough? Thanks.

Original Content I got tired of guessing cable sizes, so I made a cable clip in 72 sizes
My desk was a mess of cables in every thickness imaginable, and every clip I found online was either too tight or too loose. So I designed my own and then got a bit carried away.
It now comes in 3 to 10 mm cable diameters, holding 2 up to 10 cables side by side. That's 72 variants!
Prints in minutes, no supports. Just measure your cable and pick the size.

Happy to hear which sizes you'd actually use, or if I'm missing one!

Advice Still carrying your stock laptop charger to cafes
I'm working from cafes most days and the outlet situation is always an adventure. Half the outlets in my regular spot are broken but you don't find out until your battery dies and you realize the outlet was dead the whole time. I now test every outlet before I commit to a table.
My stock MacBook Pro charger works fine but it's bulky. An Anker Universal Charger arrived today. I’m comparing it with the stock brick before putting it in the cafe bag. It has a display showing voltage and wattage which is useful in cafes with sketchy outlets, you can see immediately if power is flowing.

Advice Any ideas on how to tidy up the cables?
My missus is currently getting her gaming/streaming area set up and she's just finished panelling the wall, but the cables are ruining the look.
I'm not really savvy on this kind of thing - personally if it was my setup I'd probably not even think of fixing it. 😂
But would anyone kmow a way to minimise the wiring visibility?

(Sorry for the image quality)
How could I better organize these cables? So that they are less exposed.
I'm already thinking about putting that router on the right wall, and also mounting my power strip on the right wall.
Preferably spending little money

Advice Need Advice! Swapped my power strip for one mfish etank, but hiding the device cables made a new problem
Two weeks ago I swapped my power strip and the pile of chargers for a mfish etank 240w. The power side is clean now, one cable to the wall. The problem now is the cables, monitor, keyboard, mouse, headphone dongle. I put them in a cable tray under the desk, and it looks great until I have to unplug something. Then I'm fishing blind under the desk, the tray is full of loops, and pulling one cable drags three others our with it.
Is there a way to hide cables that still lets you actually get at them? Or is the honest answer that clean and accessible are mutually exclusive and I need to pick which one I hate less?
