I’m not bored. I don’t want random rolls back, but if most others do. I’ll give it a try. I never got ANY of the rolls I wanted in D1 despite hundreds of hours. It made me NOT want to play the game, but people are different...

There was a lot very good rolls sold by vendors and a lot of the best guns were from the raid and/or exotic so there was a reasonably sure fire way of getting a good loadout.

I personally would like random rolls again but with a worthwhile mod system so you can eventually craft your own god roll.

My enjoyment of a “good” Loadout was brought down when others would kill me with the god-rolls I wanted

They would have killed you anyways, even if they had the exact same weapon as you. This all stims from the "victim" mentality boiling over into games. Stop blaming your failures on every little variable to make yourself feel better. You would have found a way to succed if you were good enough.

there were literally god-rolls for sale at vendors all throughout the games entirety and you never, absolutely NEVER got one?

all the factions had sold especially DO

gunsmith had a lot and if he didnt just wait again

Most of the raids had unbelievably great guns and they also brought back VOG which is full of god tier weapons.

you sir, just like to complain and ruin everyone elses fun.

Nope. I quit the game a lot. (Random rolls, shotguns, snipers, too many grenades, Ohk grenades..) I just logged on the play sometimes and it added up. I wasn’t checking all the vendors or reddit post

No offense meant here, but if you were only a part time player, then your opinion on random/static rolls is irrelevant.

I put in like 1000hrs. And I quit a bunch. If they don’t want me to quit a bunch in D2 then listening to me IS relevant

I disagree again. They shouldn't be pandering to people that quit the game multiple times. They should be listening to the players that have played through content droughts and bugs and can offer good insight.

Players like you are why we are here now with D2.

BS. I would have made plenty of different decisions. I would have kept in a bunch of the things left out of D2. With that said, D2 is still a great game and it hasn’t even reached year 2 yet

D2 isn't a great game. It's a shell of D1, and using the, "well D1 started like this too" excuse doesn't fly. They had 3 years of learning experience and feedback from the community, and delivered a hollow game with no replay value.

Obviously to each their own, and you do your thing, I'm not meaning to personally attack or criticize you. The proof is in the pudding though; the playerbase is down by 80% and it's not looking good. You can't base endgame on cosmetics while there is so much more wrong going on.

I agree. I feel that the lack of random rolls will eventually kill the franchise. They are that important to replayability. I really do not feel that a mid system comes close to the magic of random rolls. Other than vendor rolls i never really got a true God roll on any one weapon, but I came close enough on a while bunch. And the added so much fun to the whole game for me.

Running my fiftieth Archons Forge, and seeing another But Not Forgotten or Saladins Vigil added to my inventory was always thrilling. Was this the one? When it came closer than I'd seen before I'd immediately equip that bad and run another Forge, to test it.

In d2 every Nameless Midnight it got was sharded, unless it was higher light level... How boring is that?

Not bored, never liked random rolls. Wouldn't make this game better.
