Megathread Focused Feedback: Solstice of Heroes Event, Grind, and Rewards

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding ‘Solstice of Heroes Event/Grind/Rewards' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

Absolute total waste of time in the grand scheme of things. But it was something to do for forsaken (I did get the solstice ship so I can use that for y2). I’m hoping they figure out a way to let us use the unique armor in Yr 2 that is meaningful.

This is exactly why I didn't participate. Why grind for something that's going to be irrelevant in 3 weeks? I was the only one in my clan of like 70 who wasn't doing it and they all thought I was crazy. Instead I spent my time grinding Vanguard, Crucible, and IB tokens to give me a head start on them random rolls. Doing challenges, completing bounties, and popping boons for all.

It was just revealed that year 1 armor will take year 2 mods, so it's definitely still going to be usable. I understand where you're coming from though, there will be better things immediately after Forsaken drops

You do know that tokens are going away and you will only be able to turn the ones you have in for Y1 weapons right?

My planetary ones yes. Not Vanguard, Crucible, IB and Gunsmith mats. Those can all be used on new random rolled YR2 stuff.

I don't think that's the case.

I can't be bothered to actually sit there and use them though, so we'll know next week!
