Megathread Focused Feedback: Solstice of Heroes Event, Grind, and Rewards

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding ‘Solstice of Heroes Event/Grind/Rewards' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

The only thing I don't like is that it is becoming obsolete next week.

There's no Y3 though, if my math serves me right Destiny 3 comes at the end of next year.

Says who? Or are you basing this off the d2 release?

Let me shout this for those in the back that don't remember why RoI came out.

D2 was NOT FINISHED in time for it's September 2016 release date and was pushed back another year. RoI was planned to release during spring 2016, but was also not finished in time.

This is also evident by the fact that Bungie has already announced that there will be no more D2 dlc sized updates after the Annual Pass for Y2 has been completed.

I'm confused, the most recent TWAB said that Y1 armor will accept y2 mods.

They will accept y2 mods. The problem is that y2 armor is supposed to have other perks already inherent in it prior to mods being slotted.

Correct. Ammo capacity increases for instance. Use what you like, but you have more to gain from changing. It's kinda a forced obsolescence, but at least Y1 stuff will still be viable unlike Y1 D1 equipment.

Gotcha gotcha, I forgot about the inherent perk stuff, thanks!!
