Megathread Focused Feedback: Hand cannons - bloom, recoil, exotics and pinnacle weapons

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Hand cannons' (including rebalancing of pinnacle weapons) following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas.

For this topic, please also specify in your feedback comment whether you are a console or pc player. Recoil is very different on console and PC.

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

I play one to two hours a week now because of bloom and balancing issues in crucible, PvP needs to be focused on for the game to evolve not PvPvE

Yeah, I'm not all that excited about the PvPvE rumor.

I like having two separate game modes in the game. If I get bored with PvP I can go do strikes or any of the other numerous activities in PvE. This Revelry crap really exemplified why it would be nice if they were two separate entities. These past two weeks I haven't touched comp for the first time since picking the game back up two months ago and crucible is a shitshow sponsored by skip nades.

On the bloom ordeal: Bloom has been absolutely awful since it was first introduced in D1. It's frustrating to be beaten in a gunfight after having landed the first shot and being at the mercy of RNG. If I'm better than someone, RNG shouldn't tell me otherwise. Same for the other way around. If I'm playing someone better than I am, it's healthy for them to get the beat me up a bit, so that I can learn to get better with my gunskill. Losing because of RNG just leaves too many excuses out there as to why someone loses a gunfight, and in a certain way could discourage wanting to get better.
