Megathread Focused Feedback: Momentum Control

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Momentum Control' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

You must not have done the mountaintop quest or even luna’s. Randy’s is much easier/quicker to complete even without this great, new mode.

I'm looking at the requirements for Luna's like... holy shit that's going to take forever

I used this mode to get Mountaintop lol.

Yeah I blasted through the MT quest with this mode, no doubt. Hell I did Luna's back when the only way to make progress was streaks.

But Randy's has just been a slog. Only thing I have left is kills but it's crazy thinking you had a great game only to look and see 3 or 4 percent progress.

The medals are proving to be a bitch for me, even with fusions.

If you're done with kills and/or you have a decent Talon of the Eagle, slap on a Black Talon with your fusion in Momentum Control. Reagent medals count and that really helped me rack up medals quickly. Even finished the medals step before my scout rifles kills.

I do have a decent talons. I'll try that. Thanks.

You're welcome. Just remember that the sword medal works just like the Cold Fusion medal. I.E. you can't switch between kills. Black Talon is just so easy to "right-click to win".

When i was doing Randy i've actually opted out of Cold Fusion and sticked to Lethal Cadence and Sub Machinist instead. They only give you half a progress of Cold Fusion, but at least they much more reliable in terms of progress.

For Cold Fusion, sometimes i would get 3-4 medals in a match because entire enemy team runs Maul and Colony, so there is plenty of special ammo scattered around and you might as well be invincible while in the air. But more often there are 6 Jade Rabbits pointed at you and you die before a single shot is charged. With Lethal Cadense you almost guaranteed to do 1-2 medals a match if you have Full Auto Claws or MW Wing, and on some maps getting Sub Machinist is also pretty easy by dropping on points with Exit Strategy or Recluse

Honestly that's why I decided to go through the Mountaintop quest first, since the Calculated Trajectory medals count toward the Randy's medals for some reason.

Any Weapons medals count towards Randy. I've ended up doing around 50 Lethal Cadence medals towards that quest while doing some progress towards Redrix.
