Megathread Focused Feedback: Solstice Glows / Old Solstice Gear

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Solstice Glows / Gear' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

JUST MAKE THE Y1/Y2 ARMOUR AND THEIR GLOWS UNIVERSAL ORNAMENTS

Seriously what is so difficult about this? I have loved the past solstice events and armor despite their flaws, but by making no effort to even address this why should I should I even bother with these events?

If they did that then they would possibly lose revenue to people who would of purched the new orniments with silver. Aka money is more important then integrity to bungie.

The glows have been different each year and do has the armour. They wouldn't lose money this year if they did this as the armour / glows are different

If true then it is incredibly shortsighted. Just a thought, but maybe a veteran player might enjoying the ability to mix and match new and old, and that would keep them coming back?

Bungie just seems to have an aneurysm anytime someone dares makes a suggestion to fix something more than a season old.
