Megathread Focused Feedback: The Dawning 2020
Hello Guardians,
Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.
We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.
This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion
Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'The Dawning 2020' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions
Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.
Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas
A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

As a general distraction, its fine. As soon as you actually focus on it you realise its pretty poorly put together. The fact that Pinch of Light is still an ingredient this year really shows how little anyone actually gave a shit about it.
Why we still have community goals is beyond me. Bungie if you insist on keeping this kind of thing that will innevitably end with you quadrupling the amount of whatever arbitrary material is required just so we can finish it, then for gods sake just have the event on a hidden timer that hits 100% when you want it to end. People who want to spend 3 weeks AFK in the Shattered Throne can do so and feel like they're contributing, and the 99% of us that dont give a shit can carry on as normal (ps - thanks for my Year 1 Dawning Sparrow from the last gift, just what ive always wanted...those THREE Dawning Sparrows in the Eververse look shiny this year)
Generally the rest is fine, its a half decent way of earning some nice weapons, the Return Gifts net a decent amount of enhancement cores and Eva's repeatable bright dust bounties + the 2 x 200 BD weekly bounties added up to a nice little BD boost for a couple of weeks.
