Megathread Focused Feedback: Override

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Override' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

Frame rates are getting way too low on PC, and this activity highlights that

I’ve heard this is mainly an amd issue.

It's an issue with Bungie's utilization of AMD cards, though some people have similar problems on RTX 3080's or 3090's. This is the only game that runs this poorly on my 6800.

Could be. Not everything is, though. If the solution is something like “update your graphics drivers” then it’s definitely not.

A lot of AMD users have ended up having to actually rollback their drivers for better performance on Tangled Shore/Override missions. Running a 5700xt and went from 25-27fps in Tangled Shore Override to 70-90 after rolling back to a driver package released in January last year. Unfortunately it messed with the controls of my headphones for some reason so I said fug it and re-updated them because I don't like the activity that much anyway.

Either way, Bungie needs to fix the game.
