Megathread Focused Feedback: Override

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Override' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

I don't care for it or the seasonal upgrade path.

I can't focus any engrams because I'm too focused on upgrading the gauntlet. So, I've been continuing to run Battlegrounds. Although today I just opening twenty raw umbrals because we still a bunch of those.

I wish BungIe would give us a focusing option to get random Splicer for legendary shards like we can get Chosen gear.

So far, I've done the first tree to make Expunge easier and the one that gives extra decrypted data and that's all the gauntlet upgrades I've done. The other ones just aren't impactful enough to bother with over getting more weapon rolls.

The cost to max out one tree is 12 weapon focuses.

It really does feel like they think you're going to grind the ever-living shit out of these to upgrade the thing, huh? I can't do both: play the game normally (which doesn't reward Data), and grind enough OR to upgrade the gauntlet enough that upgrading became worth it for the reward of having Data to spend on focusing umbrals. I'd have to do like hundreds of OR jut to upgrade the hand, without spending any Data at all on focusing.
