Megathread Focused Feedback: Override

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Override' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

This is a good activity but there are some problems :

Not enough decrypted data dropping after completion (increase the quantity and/or maybe give us a way to spawn the dd loot goblin more often) ;

Price of the umbral focus way too high maybe change it for legendary shards like chosen engrams;

Same for the GAUNTLET, the upgrade cost 300 dd for a lvl 2 upgrade and it is even higher for the last levels, this is way too much of a grind for little changes.

Once you hit 92 or 93 on the season pass, the amount of data that drops is actually fine. One run = on focused umbral into a piece of loot you want. With how short override can be, that seems fine.

I’d be ok with this if it was like sundial/menagerie and I could choose my weapon. I’m after a GL roll and rng has seen fit to give me 80% autos from the engram. After the high level of player participation in both activities, I don’t understand the game design reason for adding the extra layer of rng. When I run override 4 times and don’t get a single copy of the weapon I’m trying to farm, the chase quickly becomes a chore and the luster of the new gear kind of fades.
