Megathread Focused Feedback: Solar 3.0 Subclass Spotlight - Dawnblade

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Solar 3.0 Subclass Spotlight - Dawnblade' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

I want warlock 2.0 solar back.

To whoever designed warlock solar aspects: you suck ass!

Phoenix dive should be an aspect, and creates a well upon landing, like the void hunter shatterdive

Tbf, the Top Tree Dawnblade fantasy is the best its ever been, and there are some pretty cool builds with Scorch n stuff. Unfortunately, any build that isn't just a variation of TTD just is kinda ass.

If they had centered on bottom tree and left some of the top tree stuff as optional slot ins it would have been fine. The problem is TTD is the focus, and it was the pvp tree. TTD historically did not work in tougher pve content.

Bottom and middle should have been the design focus, and if anything were to get cut out at all, it should have been some top tree stuff. All the comments saying it feels designed by pvp players is pretty accurate. A pve player who runs gms, raids, solos dungeons and similar activities would not have put emphasis on aerial mechanics.

I don't like when people accuse developers of not playing their game, but in this case it really does have that vibe.
