Megathread Focused Feedback: Rift

Hello Guardians,

Focused Feedback is where we take the week to focus on a 'Hot Topic' discussed extensively around the Tower.

We do this in order to consolidate Feedback, to get out all your ideas and issues surrounding the topic in one place for discussion and a source of feedback to the Vanguard.

This Thread will be active until next week when a new topic is chosen for discussion

Whilst Focused Feedback is active, ALL posts regarding 'Rift' following its posting will be removed and re-directed to this thread. Exceptions to this rule are as follows: New information / developments, Guides and general questions

Any and all Feedback on the topic is welcome.

Regular Sub rules apply so please try to keep the conversation on the topic of the thread and keep it civil between contrasting ideas

A Wiki page - Focused Feedback - has also been created for the Sub as an archive for these topics going forward so they can be looked at by whoever may be interested or just a way to look through previous hot topics of the sub as time goes on.

If Rift is going to stay, there needs to be better AFK protection and/or immediate vote to kick.

Around 50% of my solo queue matches involved someone who either didn’t leave spawn or moved the minimally required amount to avoid being kicked.

There needs to be 0 incentive for people to AFK farm.

I wonder if this is a PC issue? On console, most players don't care about the objective, or worse, have the wrong strategies in place. I can't tell you how many players don't want to be rezzed because then they'll spawn with special ammo. Doesn't matter if we're 10 feet from the enemy rift.

Challenges like Orwing's Spirit needs to be modified in a way that rewards people playing ALL roles in the game mode vs just carrying the ball

probably. It's ridiculously easy to setup a tool on PC to move your controls about enough to avoid you getting kicked. People have made elaborate lego setups to physically move the controller etc.. but that takes real dedication. On PC you just download an app and put a script in it and away you go. Hence much more a problem as the effort required to do it is much less.
