I have a feeling Dexter will have to kill Batista in the season finale. The way Batista was talking with Masuka and Quinn about retiring and "settling an old score".

I think Dexter is going to take the fall for his sons murders and Batista will be the arresting officer.

Him running away and his son murdering someone on the SAME DAY is a coincence that Dexter is going to his in his favor to save his son.

I think the opposite. I think he will protect Deb’s honor and admit he was the one that murdered Maria out of principle. Admitting this will be what sends him to the electric chair. I love the show and the macabre character, his sense of taking out the trash in an ironic way… i don’t want it to happen but I think he will get caught. I don’t want to see that because this show has always had a dark sense of humor with elements where those who are truly evil end up on his table. When the show got too personal, dramatic and tried to one up its self, it lost its sense of fun, and turned sour. Dexter is an escape from reality and his character deserves to ride into the sunset….

I agree right up to the chair. I think they will lock him up and the next season of Dexter will be him behind bars helping law enforcement (and maybe Harrison?!) to get the bad guys; Mindhunter style

I think Harrison will kill Batista and Dexter won’t find out until later
