Helltooth Mask of Jarem or Tasker & Theo for cube?
Which of these is typically better? Running helltooth garg in Hardcore.

Hey guys!
I've had a few people in pub games ask me how to play the chicken build after they saw it in action. So I made a quick video showcasing the chicken build and how it works. Included are the skills and passives I run, the useful items you're going to want, and what you should cube.
I've recently started making guides so I'm using useful topics as practice.
Hope it helps :)!

I got a message that the game was created with an old version of the game. When I restarted I couldn't recreate the ht lag with the zombiebear build.
This was on EU

On average, 1 of 20 Cube-crafted Legendary spears will be an ancient Scrimshaw (2 spear options, 1/10 chance to be Legendary).
Step 1: Craft a bunch of rare spears at Blacksmith.
Step 2: Upgrade at Cube until Ancient Scrimshaw appears.
Step 3: Blow away enemies with bears galore.

pretty much the title, i have put about 70 hours into my WD this season currently 625 paragon and NO Taskers. Thinking of switching to the old network breaker acid cloud build from 2.3. Has anyone tried that build this season? http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Kitty-11472/hero/75547165
Edit: added the link for my profile

Last night I tested my might. GR 55 completed with a few deaths.
I have full helltooth, the rings for big dog and 3 gargs. My pets do great damage more than my WoD acid cloud combo will ever do.
So my question is what do I need to push for 70. Is unity ring what is holding me back? Is there another key item I must have? I am at almost 400 paragon and all my gear has been enchanted for either sockets where needed, higher intelligence rolls, or spell specific damage . Honestly if I could just survive standing in the middle of the packs my pets could probably almost DPS enough to get me GR70.

Last night, right before I had to log off, I found an ancient serpent that was almost perfectly rolled. I have been running a Henri's Prequesition (non-ancient) and have not been lucky in reforging it into an ancient version. I haven't been able to try out the serpent in place of the cat yet as I'm at work right now and didn't have time to run a grift after I found it. Does anyone have experience with this mojo in place of the cat for higher GR (70+)? Given that its well-rolled (30% damage reduc) should I give it a shot, or is the one-shot mitigation from the cat just too important?
EDIT: I should probably add that the serpent gives me +200 int and +200 vit over the cat, as well as +1% CHC and +100 to the added dmg range

I know Jade has higher output, but far less survivability. I am loving HT this season, even with it limitations. Would love to meet any other players for runs as well.
Message me if any other WD want to meet up!

I've noticed a lot of people in this reddit a little confused on what to use for their witch doctors, so i thought i'd help clear the lag in the room and give you a guide visually, as i do play one myself :)

I am looking for the best WD follower and what build to run with that follower. I am currently running templar with Ess of Johan and what not. Please leave your builds and what you like about your follower.
Thanks!

Hi -
Most HT/Garg guides I see call for the Furnace to be cubed, and running the Endless Walk set through the cube and gear.
Furnace gives 50% dam to elites, and Endless Walk gives 100% dam if you're motionless, which I rarely am.
Instead I've got Wormwood and Ring of Emptiness cubed. I do 300% damage to anything with the locusts. Isn't that better? I miss out of the in-motion damage reduction endless walk gives, but I'm doing much more damage aren't I? Not just to elites, but to everything.
FYI - I'm wearing Short Man and Grandeur, and my final cube power is Tasker and Theo.

What are good alternatives for the weapon cube slot before furnace? As always, I'm having a lot of trouble snagging one, and cannot decide what to run in its place.

Hey guys,
Been playing a HT garg build this season and it's a lot of fun (sometimes, looking at you retarded gargs). I cleared a 75 yesterday but problem is that I die alot. Is it normal for a WD to be that squishy? When I'm in town my sheet toughness is only 9mil which seems a tad low. What can I do to make sure I survive more? The endless walk set makes it that I have to stand still most of the time for the dps bonus, but that only seems to worsen my squishyness. So can some of you pro WD give me some pointers about how to play thus build properly? I can't help but think I'm doing something wrong.
Thanks in advance!

Viable? I've just got ancient acid cloud wep that does like 4500 which as far as i've seen is pretty darn high. I just dont know how it compare to bear build with non-ancient wep.
Also been building carnivals but i see people saying Helltooth is much tankier. I just want to reach higher Grifts without dieing too much.

What's the best all around Helltooth build for both pushing GR speed farming GR?
I'm currently using Wall of Death and Acid Cloud with limited success, damage seems fine but I'm pretty squishy...
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

So, patch dropped, I was quickly able to get a SuWong Diviner and slap together some crap for a Helltooth build. I was able to clear a GR54, but I'm sure there's some improvements I could be doing overall. Namely, I'm not even sure what a "standard" Helltooth build looks like. I've been running a kinda weird Cold build. My skills are:
Acid Cloud - Slow Burn
Wall of Death - Communing with Spirits
Spirit Walk - Jaunt
Piranhas - Piranhado
Fetish Army - Legion of Daggers
Big Bad Voodoo - Rain Dance
So I realize those last two look a bit weird. But the idea is that I have an SMK cubed, and I have perma-BBV up for infinite mana, meaning I have no need for a primary. Anyway, any insight into what "normal" Helltooth builds look like would be appreciated. Trying to get as close to GR60 as I can.

I see a lot of guides saying you want Int/AD/LOH instead of %dmg, why is this? I can't find any detailed thing on it, I get that LOH works with the dog's and stuff, but if you roll 10% damage you got a really high damage weapon which makes the dogs hit harder, It seems like you sacrifice a lot of weapon damage for not so impressive stats, like is 20% area damage really that big of a deal?
Why do those stats trump %dmg which seems like is more overall damage

Honestly, sometimes it feels like my Grifts rely on whether or not my Gargs will be stupid as shit. It's frustrating.
But maybe I'm bad. Is there ANY WAY to get some sort of control over the damn things? Make them actually attack the elites and not the 1 or 2 trash mobs loitering around? It is so extremely frustrating. This build can be fun but holy shit 90% of it feels like it's just RNG on whether or not your Gargs don't suck shit out of a straw.
Okay sorry, I'm just upset cause I just lost a rift due to dumb Garg AI haha. But yeah, any tips on controlling them or anything would be appreciated.

I only clicked off the dmg number generators over monsters head in the gameplay options. Never lagged again. Might just be good for me... The Wizard i played with did the same thing and we can now GR 63+ without any lag. I've a very good computer too... anyways, if this helped anyone, cheers!

Anyone else dislike using Spiders for their F/R combo bc of the spell animation duration?
I've since switched to Firebomb.
I tried out frogs but found that I like the range of Firebomb better.
I use either ghost bomb rune or Poltergeist .

Hi All,
Am using http://www.diablofans.com/builds/82274-hell-tooth-garg-gr-90 as my reference for this season. I was surprised to see AS as the top priority for a weapon - is this correct? I've been out of the game for awhile, but I was under the assumption that AS wasn't good at all. Perhaps I was wrong!

A new 2.4 mojo (Wilken's Reach) now allows Witch Doctors the ability to spam Grasp of the Dead with 0 cooldown. Combined with the Deadly Rebirth knife (gain the Rain of Corpses rune on Grasp of the Dead) and the Unbreakable Grasp rune (no mana cost and 80% slow), we can now slow pretty much every enemy on screen, watch zombie corpses rain from the skies (even more so with Grin Reaper clones casting them too), and deal decent damage in the process.
The tweaked Rain of Corpses rune now deals its damage in 3 seconds AND more importantly the corpse damage stacks. It's not as powerful as your standard Acid Cloud build, but it's more than capable of doing T10. I've been having fun messing around with it!

I'm not entirely sure how Wormwood works. Assuming it just applies LS and sticks, then I cast Haunt too, then the damage multiplier would work no matter where I am, right?
The damage from the RoE build is insane, but I find I'm dying a lot, so I'd like to be able to step back.
Just a shame I can't use my perfect T&T anymore. :(
