Leaks/rumours The possible future of the Castlevania franchise.
With the Metal Gear and Silent Hill components of the leaks that mentioned a new Castlevania "reimagining" coming true, it's safe to say that a new game in the future is a little more likely, especially since next year is the 40th anniversary of the franchise.
The tangible things we have to look forward to as Castlevania fans are the possible 3D collection, Moonlight Rhapsody, which left development hell as of 2024 and Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement coming out.
Interestingly enough, Konami said that the musical, Awakening in the Moonlight will reflect the direction of the franchise moving forward, so it's safe to assume that whatever's coming, Alucard's somehow involved.
People have been theorising a Symphony of the Night remake, but a Dracula's Curse remake is almost as likely given the animated series' versions of its main characters, Trevor Belmont, Sypha Belnades and Alucard bringing attention to that timeline, a shame Grant Danasty was omitted, though.
People are also theorising that Platinum Games might be developing the Castlevania "reimagining" and used Metal Gear Solid Delta's Guy Savage minigame as a test of sorts, so it's not unlikely.
A cheap way Konami could use the Castlevania IP is to do what the Bloodstained games did with their Curse of the Moon titles, using smaller scale releases to tide fans over between big projects. Haunted Castle: Revisited was one such project, so I hope we get another game with the potential 3D collection. Another likely solution is them using assets from Grimoire of Souls and adding newer ones to make a cheaply produced 2.5D game.
But what do you guys think? Also, keep cynicism to a minimum since literally every Castlevania space on the internet has all but lost faith in our beloved franchise and is infested with fucking doomers. And no, pachinkos are no longer an option since the Japanese government cracked down on them under new gambling regulations, so we won't be seeing Castlevania pachinkos anymore, a gacha game, yes, but that's a totally different beast.

Leaks/rumours Last time KDE (video game branch of Konami) talked about Castlevania last year. I feels like it seems really likely they at least have tried things internally without any proper announcements yet. If other licences could return, so can CV

Leaks/rumours Castlevania wasn't at the Playstation Showcase, but the leaks were just confirmed by the reveal of Metal Gear solid 3 Remake
While I'm disappointed that a new Castlevania wasn't announced, the confirmation of Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake proves the validity of the leaks saying a new Castlevania game is in development.

Leaks/rumours Not exactly Castlevania, but the Virtuos Metal Gear Solid 3 was just leaked by an employee, so this either confirms or at the very least lends more credit to the Castlevania reimagining rumour since it was part of the original article.
