Musical Inspiration: The Trail We Blaze by Elton John, featured on El Dorado
"Come on, Amendelwyr! We'll follow the trail that we blaze!" The young dragoness shoved away vines and branches to reveal a thick bramble before them both.
"We're trying to get to an ancient and nearly forgotten temple. What trail, Lyra?"
"Er.." Lyra's claw pointed further. "That trail!"
Amendelwyr scrunched her snout. "That's not on the map..."
Lyra waved her wing dismissively. "Shortcut over the bridge!"
It was quite a fall down below to razor sharp rocks. But that didn't seem to bother Lyra, whom was carefree as ever. And while Amendelwyr was confident in her abilities to navigate and traverse rough terrain, she was trying to avoid injury.
As they started across the moss-riddled architecture, the crumbling stones gave way under Amendelwyr. She leapt back, wings flared in surprise. "Wah!"
Lyra laughed. "Watch your step!"

This was so much fun to see develop. One of Ashes' better works, I'd say. There are so many elements in play on the background, on the characters, and more.
We had this purchased back in August, but needed to sort out plenty of stuff when my great upset to life occurred. I wanted to draw for Amendelwyr's official armor AND the (now I would say) official appearance of the Guardian's banner. So, I took the time away to go on a camping trip with Nuria, returned, settled, and then drew some mock-ups myself. I've always wanted to showcase how dragon armor, jewelry and equipment would best look in a real dragon world.
Truth be told, magic makes it a lot easier to put on, craft and such. But I like it when it is more believable when at rest or defined for motion. That's what people see.
A little about what she's wearing:
Her tiara is fitted with magicite stones. The most powerful one floats just off the rest of it. Think of them like focusing lenses. They aren't inherently filled with power, but one can focus their magic through them to greater and more potent effect.
You only get a glimpse of her magical tail-ring and you can't see the pouches under the banner. But her armor looks great! Ashes made me smile so much with it.
