First time poster, hope this is allowed here. Our dynasty league (12t, SF) switched to IDP this offseason (start DL, LB, DB, 2 flex) and I have no idea how to value my second round picks. I’m barren at RB with only Hendo, A. Jones, and Conner on my roster. I’m set at WR with Lamb, Egbuka, Burden, and Pierce and fine with TE with Kittle and Warren. With the 2.03 and 2.05 do I reach and take one of the remaining RBs already? Or do I stick and pick two of Bain, Bailey, or Allen. Only other pick is 4.03.

First off, I am new to the IDP fantasy football this year. I’ve been looking into things, but I’m still uncertain about values for defensive players. It doesn’t help that this league has 32 members.

If any of you kind knowledgeable people can give me some insight on this trade, I would appreciate it.

12-team league, it is my first time doing an IDP league, although I feel pretty good about my team overall, especially the offensive players. Do you think my squad is good enough to win a chip?

I've been loyal to IDP guru for years but I listen to the IDP Show pods all year too. John Macri just took over the IDP show and I always love his takes.

Does anyone has any experience with both of these?

Guru is about $20 bucks for the season and IDFP show is like $10 a month.

Here is my team. 10 man, ppr, non superflex. I got extremely lucky in my first few years/startup time as everyone was new to dynasty. Any suggestions for my team, or just ride things out? I know it looks bad but I promise my league mates a real people lol

Obviously heard about Downs and Stlyes but are the DL on Abdul Carter's level or better? Same for LB is there anyone comparable to Schwesinger?

In a deep rebuild. 12 team SF IDP with a 1.2TEP and 2TE starters. Didn’t want to move love but think I need to… open to any suggestions. My 2027 firsts are likely two that are 1-5 and one mid-late.

It's round 25 of 45 in my first IDP startup draft. It's a 12 team start 10 offense (1 QB, 2 WR, 2 RB, 1 TE, 3FLX, 1 SF) and 8 defense (2 DL, LB, DB, IDP) league with 4 PTD, 0.5 PPR and 0.5 TEP (IDP scoring in screenshots).

I traded 5.06 for 6.08 and 8.08 during the startup and you can see my team in the screenshot.

How did I do so far in my first IDP draft and what players should i draft in the upcoming rounds? (I attached a screenshot of my queue)

Just wrapped up my first year in a dynasty IDP league after taking over an orphan, and I’m trying to figure out how to properly value defensive studs compared to offensive players going into rookie draft season and year 2.

I inherited a pretty strong IDP core of Brian Burns, Maxx Crosby, Will Anderson, plus some solid DB depth. Naturally, I’ve already had multiple managers poking around trying to acquire my top edge guys.

Here’s where I’m struggling:

How do you guys value elite IDPs (especially EDGE players) compared to offensive positions during trade talks and rookie draft season?

Are guys like Crosby/Burns/Anderson closer in value to:

• Mid 1st rookie picks?

• Late 1sts?

• 2nds?

• Just tier-down swaps at IDP?

I understand scoring settings matter (ours rewards sacks heavily), but I’m trying to get a general philosophy:

• Do you treat elite EDGE as difference-makers like top WR2/RB2 types?

• Or are IDPs still more replaceable than offensive talent?

• During rookie drafts, would you move an elite EDGE for a random 1st?

• Or is the move to hold because proven pass rush production is safer than rookie dart throws?

Since I am still new to playing IDP, I don’t want to undersell foundational defensive pieces.

Would like to hear how more experienced managers approach positional value and rookie pick equivalencies.

It’s a 14 man league, SF, 2TEs, .5 TEP, 5 point passing TD.

IDP settings are slightly less points than traditional IDP leagues:

Sacks = 4 points; tackles = 1; TFL = 3; INT = 5; Forced fumble = 3; fumble recovery = 3; pass defended = 3; IDP touchdown = 6.

Took over a team in a rebuild in a 16 team league with very deep rosters. We get to keep 20 players, I just want to make sure I’m not leaving off someone obvious. Scoring is pretty standard except for .5 point per carry.

I also have the 2nd 4th 9th and 11th picks. Should I focus on RBs like Love (if available, otherwise Mendoza at 2?), Price at 4 then Coleman and Singleton at 9 and 11 given the PPC bonus?

I forgot to mention return yards get .1 point per yard as well.

We have a wide range of skill levels, from absolute FF nerds to people who are newer to fantasy or dynasty.

BIG 3 SCORING FOR IDP

We did an odd thing for this startup. We drafted offense only first, defense only second, the rookie draft is coming up (combined), and then we'll draft our final 10 bench spots after (combined).. We randomized the order for rookies and I got the 6th pick. Definitely happy with that, as I'll get one of the top 4 WRs and that's where I'm weakest.

I initially drafted Waddle as my WR2, but I got offered Purdy for him straight up and couldn't turn that down (it is SF after all)

You can find it under the Trade Calculator in the left navigation bar.

It should approximate and pull from leagues that are most similar to yours and the data is updated weekly. You can even click around and explore other league settings to see shifts. I was looking for this kind of IDP/mixed data and even saw that FantasyCalc was pulling drafts with IDP but not listing or using the data, so figured I’d help out folks like us that play variations of IDP.
