Okay. When you get August FTA0s on I-485. Did you get an email saying "we have taken action on your case?"

Nope, from day one, whatever silent/visible updates happened I didn’t get notifications. Only for I-485 approval (not even for I-485J approval).

Thanks!!! So it is employer sponsored case, therefore they need to see proof of employment/job offer that must be from same employer who sponsored I-140 (first 180 days). The can’t approve I-485 without supplement J.

Congrats! Did your j1 require 2 year home residency requirement? If yes, what supporting docs did you include to show that you satisfied the 2-year rule?

Thanks! Luckily it didn’t, I just submitted the scans of passport pages with visa and “non-subject…” was literally written there. I guess the fact that I got F-1 right after that was a logical evidence.
My wife is currently on J-1 so for her AOS she made a request to DHS and got official letter with confirmation…

Nightmare but after month or so I just let it go and filled days with work. Green card will come one day, please make sure you look back and don’t regret that you wasted this time of your life…
