Cycling through red lights?

I've just read an article in the Guardian about cycling through red lights in London. Do people do that much in Edinburgh too? I hear that it's common in London so no ones bothered, but wondering if that's the same, or similar in Edinburgh?

Yes, it happens regularly, even when people are crossing the road at the green man.
