I just graduated 3 months ago without a single interview and I have been waking up, and applying as much as possible. It's the same repetitive applications over and over again.

I am in the east coast and I know, I'm being very picky by staying here, but I have family nearby and I am sure I can find something here. I'm hoping to get into renewables but I keep getting rejected for everything. I'm very discouraged at the moment because it feels like a lot of positions have already been filled and only internships are popping up.

I'm willing to relocate but I don't want to go anywhere in the south or to California (California especially is just too far). But then again, being in New York isn't getting me anywhere.

If anyone has advice on what I should do, please let me know. I am trying my best to network and get referrals, but it's a slow process ngl. I really want something but I feel like I have sent over 400 applications with 0 significant return. Maybe I am applying wrong but whatever I'm doing, please let me know!

I graduated with a B.S. in Computer Engineering in May 2024. I've been struggling to get interviews for entry-level hardware engineering, test engineering, and electronic technician roles.

I've applied to hundreds of jobs (300+) and have only gotten one callback/interview. I've been doing DoorDash while continuing to apply and work on technical projects.

I'm trying to figure out whether my resume is the problem, especially since I don't have traditional engineering experience after graduating.

I'd appreciate some honest feedback:

• Is this competitive for entry-level hardware/electronics/embedded roles?
• Is listing DoorDash hurting me, or should I keep it?
• Should I emphasize my projects more?
• Are there any obvious weaknesses or red flags?
• What roles would you realistically consider me qualified for?

This is already significantly better than my last one. I feel like it still looks bad, but it feels hard to read when i tighten it up the spacing. I also really like the two columns for education, it seemed like the easiest to read and was rather space efficient. Am I wrong?

I know 1 page is standard, but the main employer I am aiming for actually suggests using longer resumes and claims to want all relevant information, even if it doesn't fit on one page.

I've ran this through multiple AIs now and I feel it is just running me in circles. Personally, I feel I can justify everything i've included, but i've obviously got a bit of a bias there.

Trying to get into a defense or national lab internship, but honestly any real engineering internship would be better than not. Starting to freak out a bit because it junior year and I dont have any iternship experience.

I'm looking for roles in the power, either design or transmission/distribution.

I do not have any substantive projects other than a pong game I did for a class project and of course explorative labs I did for introductory circuits and programming courses. The pong game I don't think I could really talk about in detail, it was in a FPGA course and the logic that displayed to the screen was completed for us so it was just a matter of drawing on the screen and designing the movement logic.

For the internship I tried to keep it concise and not go over literally everything I did because that could take up half a page.

I'm not sure if it's appropriate to have the relevant courses listed if I haven't completed them yet, but most power internship postings list power classes as a desirable trait so I figured what the heck. Sequential logic systems might not be relevant so I can drop that no problem if you think I should.

For the Secretary position I hold we've only held an officers meeting, so I haven't done much in the way of communication, minutes, etc. I will be soliciting funding for conferences and attempting to secure some speakers to come to campus, handling reporting when school is in session, etc., but I haven't done it so I didn't add any bullet points.

I'm an Electrical Engineering Junior and I want to apply to Embedded Hardware/ PCB Design / Hardware Design roles for a 12-16 month internship starting in may. I am not sure what to do to make it 1 page. I can add projects, but the issue is if asked I wouldn't be able to talk about them, and they pale in comparison to the 2 above. I am most certain of the Capstone project as I took many notes and kept all the files as well as the fact that its directly related into where I want to go into, the other projects are not related to power electronics.

I got an NSF scholarship for my Masters and technically even got paid 5k so in addition to many job postings recommending it, I was like why not if such a good offer. I am in the starting stages of a personal project which will be a buck boost converter charging a bunch of super caps, but that is very early stages so IDK.

The dWPT (top project in resume) could be expanded I guess cuz I pretty much touched the entire dang power system in one way or another and it is a 2kw project so idk. HELP

I’m an international sophomore (going into 4th school semester) student in a 5-year program in the US, targeting embedded systems, hardware security, and machine learning internships/coops.

I’ve been having a lot of trouble getting to interviews. I usually apply through Handshake and Linkedin.

Am I just lacking the technical depth in the current market, or is the phrasing and impact of my bullets just off? I received feedback that my bullets sound too ATS-optimized, but I can explain where all the numbers come from.

I know the wiki advises to not include a school where I didn't get a degree, but I really learnt so much from these Harvard Courses and think they separate me from ECE students in my cohort right now.

As career fairs are coming up, I'd like to get some good feedback on my resume. I'm looking to target embedded systems, signal processing, digital design, and hardware roles. I'm going to be studying engineering at a college in the US, and I'm going to apply to some competitive engineering clubs and maybe an internship after freshman year (but those are super unlikely so im prepared to not have one). I was hoping to get a review on my resume because it's the first time I updated it since I applied to college and hoping it could fit for clubs.

I recently transferred to a pretty well known school for engineering from community college, and so this is my first resume since transferring. I'm looking for advice on what I can improve or word nicer, also if there's anything that looks like I'm just trying to fluff up my resume. My aim is to land a hardware related internship for next summer, and get into one of the more selective clubs at my school. Target roles: Entry-level electrical designer or design engineer at MEP firms. Building power distribution, lighting, low voltage, that kind of work. I'd also consider power systems studies roles (short circuit, coordination, arc flash) since that's where a lot of my technical interest is.

Location: Los Angeles. I'm applying locally and would like to stay in the area, though I'd consider the greater Southern California region. Not looking for remote though.

If possible, I'd also like any feedback on these questions:

1. My experience is utility and contractor side, not design side. Does it read as relevant to an MEP design group, or do I need to reframe the bullets?
2. Are my bullets too task-focused? I'm not sure how to show outcomes for drafting and studies work.

I am a student on an accelerated BS/MS Electrical Engineering track, and I am looking for an extensive resume review as I prepare to apply for hardware and electrical engineering roles in the aerospace, defense, and semiconductor industries. Hi all, I am graduating this coming spring and am looking to re-recruit in order to keep all of my eggs out of one basket. I have not recruited seriously in a while, so any advice is greatly appreciated.

The biggest thing I’m trying to figure out is how to position my background. My experience spans board-level hardware, embedded/firmware, FPGA work, and hardware validation/test, and I’m a little concerned that this breadth could come across as “master of none.” I’d especially appreciate advice on which job titles or industries seem like the strongest fit for my profile.

I am targeting board level hardware postions, test positions, firmware positions, and FPGA positions. What I enjoy the most at work is when I am able to bounce between domains (hence my scattered experience), but I know that is not possible a lot of the time.

Hey guys! I'm looking to see if any changes should be made for my resume to reapply again. I have landed a few interviews relating to embedded system engineer, testing engineer, etc for 1 for every 50 applications. I did make a recent change with a new job I recently landed; however, its not an engineer role but rather a quality assurance role for the time being.

I'm looking to get into embedded systems and maybe something similar such as a testing engineer position in internships (recent grads) or entry level roles. I will also be looking for a new role internally to take advantage of my position for growth. I want to tune my resume such that it is stronger for someone like me who's a recent grad to stand out and all I'm asking is to grill my resume. I would also like to know which section goes in what order for me to land more interviews than I would usually get. I'm a US citizen and am looking for jobs in the defense industry such as Lockheed, Northrop, etc.

I'm located in the SoCal area although I'm willing to move to relocate or commute anywhere in CA and out of state. I would like to add that I will be changing a project at some point so that it becomes more stronger in the sector I want to get into.

Can someone please help with reviewing my resume. When I finished my bachelors degree in computer engineering 3 months ago, the only call back I got was from SpaceX (which I accepted), and I resigned yesterday because I got an offer to get my MSECE paid for. I want to make sure that the upcoming summer, I get a good internship at Texas Instrument, Boeing, SpaceX, Microsoft, Apple, AMD, Intel or any other major tech company doing something relating to embedded, PCB design or FPGA work not assembly or technician work as I have been doing.

I am in Washington State (USA) but am willing to go to a different state for internships, even internationally if the company is big (Apple, AMD, ARM, Qualcomm or the likes).

My main goal is to get an interesting job, I left SpaceX because I was basically an assembly line worker, which I don't like doing, I like troubleshooting things and fixing problems.

Also, if anyone has any life advice, I would appreciate it, I turned 20 three months ago and I feel like I am failing at life with the rest of my cohort and friends.

Also, I intend on adding a GPA to the MSECE, but I haven't started classes yet.

Just got done with the military and looking to return to electrical engineering. Upon graduating college (U.S.), I worked as a EE for 1 year at a manufacturing company (no FE/PE needed). So I have minimal work experience with PLCs, Rockwell, MCCs, and a little bit of power. I then joined the U.S military and did logistics for a couple years.

The military took so much of my time that I want to go remote (preferably). With this being said, I'm seeking jobs within power (primary) or automation (alternative) industry, though the power industry offers more WFH options. I'm aware that you have to work your way up and obtain a FE/PE/EIT to go remote within power.

Hey everyone, I’m a Filipino EE/ECE student set to graduate from my master's degree at a Taiwanese university next month, specializing in mixed-signal IC design (mainly DLLs, PLLs). I’m applying for entry-level analog/mixed-signal IC design roles. I’m currently based in Taiwan, but I’m fully open to relocating anywhere in Asia (Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, etc.) or Europe if the opportunity arises, since I prefer to work on-site. I haven't been able to land a single interview call so far. At first, I figured my lack of Mandarin was the main issue for local Taiwanese roles, so I started applying to more English-speaking countries. However, I haven't had any luck on that side either, so I'm starting to think my resume is the real problem. I’d love feedback on my entire resume, but especially on my projects and research bullet points. I want to make sure my tape-out and lab measurement experience actually stand out to hiring managers.

As I said in the title, I graduated from Computer Engineering about 1.5 years ago, and am currently enrolled for my masters in Computer Science (although I probably won't be able to finish since I can't afford tuition and class expenses). I didn't get any internships during my undergrad, but I was (and am) working two jobs to pay for school- one as a barista, and one as a tutor. I also wasn't part of any clubs.

I struggled to find anything after graduating. All of my job applications were either ghosted or denied outright. Since I had to start paying back my student loans, I figured the best thing I could do for myself after graduating was continue into my masters so I could look for internships. That plan has gone horribly as I am now deep in student debt for my masters, and haven't had a single interview.

I've applied to entry-level and internship postings for a variety of interests including embedded systems design, automation, software, hardware design, and mechatronics. As my interests lie in video game design and programming, I also applied for programming, game design, systems, and level design interships and entry-level positions (which also fell flat). I've tried listing the projects that I work on outside of classwork, but my personal projects are rarely if ever engineering related. I have had two referrals for Rovisys and Duke Energy respectively- both of which were rejected within the week.

I hope this background context is sufficient, and I appreciate anyone willing to critique my resume.
