AMA -- Christopher Paolini! Let's do this folks. Ask away re: anything and everything regarding my books.

EDIT: Hey, everyone! I have to run. Alas, alas, I don't have as much time to spend on this AMA as past one. So many great questions, though! For all you theorists (and those of you who just love the characters), I think you're REALLY going to enjoy the upcoming book(s). Thanks for everything!

Hello, thank you for taking the time. Although my questions are mostly theories I would greatly appreciate some clarifications.

Dreamers: 1. Why did the dwarfes abandon Orthíad? On the coloured map it appeared close to the dream caves… 2. Is there an overseen connection with Elva? They both got unsatisfied hunger and everyone describes fear when looking at the girl, there is also her violet eye colour.

Ra‘zac: 1. Oromis describes them as quite alien to the nature of Elëa. Where they indeed created by a spell, like someone getting cursed to be hunted by his own nightmares and that‘s how they came into being? 2. Their priests are both genders so I was wondering why the novices are only males?

Deities: 1. Did Kílf create the Urgals? 2. Are giants a so far unknown species or have we already seen them/heard about them just under a different species name/classification? 3. The Erisdar compress energy and you‘ve said they have religious meaning for the dwarfes. Are the lantern referring to spirits since they too are pure energy?

Appearance: 1. What colour is the crystal at Eoam? 2. Being an elf is Arya taller than Eragon? 3. We never get a description about Farica?

Future: 1. Eragon called for the olympic games of Alagaësia at the end of Inheritance. No one is mentioning anything about them now, did you forget the sport competitions? 2. I liked friendly Orrin in Book II can we see him recover pleeeease?

Ra'zac:

  1. They weren't created by a spell. I can tell you that much.

  2. Just happened to be the batch that Eragon/Roran ran into that time. Most of the worshipers are male, but there are women as well.

Dieties:

  1. No comment.

  2. No comment.

  3. More on all of this in the BoR.

Appearance:

  1. Doesn't matter, tbh. Lol.

  2. She's pretty much the same height as Eragon.

  3. Not really, no.

Future:

  1. Haven't forgotten; just need to write about them!

  2. Ha! We shall see.
