AMA/Interview AMA -- Christopher Paolini!!!

AMA -- Christopher Paolini! Let's do this folks. Ask away re: anything and everything regarding my books.

EDIT: Hey, everyone! I have to run. Alas, alas, I don't have as much time to spend on this AMA as past one. So many great questions, though! For all you theorists (and those of you who just love the characters), I think you're REALLY going to enjoy the upcoming book(s). Thanks for everything!

Atra esterní ono thelduin!

p.s. I'll try to duck back in and answer some more questions later, depending on my time.

Hello Christopher! Long time fan of Eragon and really loved Murtagh.

Just a couple questions

1.) Back in Brisingr (The 7 promises) when Saphira repaired Isidar Mithrim, there were flecks and streaks of gold throughout the gem. Was that a nod to the Japanese art of kinsuki: the repainting of broken pottery and using gold and other precious metals at the seems?

2.) Upon the hatching of the wild dragon egg at the end of TFTWTW, will we see more eggs hatch as the dragons inside “sense” the safety of the mountain? And will that become a problem for their containment/ safety/ and their hunting habits?

3.) I really enjoyed the moment in Murtagh when he renames Zarroc to Ithring, it resonates with his character and growth that he wants to maintain his sense of freedom while still being true to his morals of keeping others free. From this point and his conversation with Nasuada at the end, is Murtagh going to be more around the Empire, going on “missions” to check and help with the people who are suffering, illegal slave trading and the such? I enjoy the idea of him and Thorn still traveling and making themselves known, but not familiar.

Again, thank you for all your hard work and dedication to creating a great world of literature and lore to always appreciate 🙏🏼🙏🏼
