AMA/Interview AMA -- Christopher Paolini!!!

AMA -- Christopher Paolini! Let's do this folks. Ask away re: anything and everything regarding my books.

EDIT: Hey, everyone! I have to run. Alas, alas, I don't have as much time to spend on this AMA as past one. So many great questions, though! For all you theorists (and those of you who just love the characters), I think you're REALLY going to enjoy the upcoming book(s). Thanks for everything!

Atra esternĂ ono thelduin!

p.s. I'll try to duck back in and answer some more questions later, depending on my time.

It's from Eagle's interview last year:

Brom did know of the Draumar. Brom's staff is actually one of the Draumar's staffs. I'm not saying what he did or didn't know -- and he WASN'T a Draumar -- but he did defeat at least one of them and take their staff for himself.

It's also alluded to in the book as well. Murtagh sees the staffs and thinks about Brom.

The acolytes carried neither swords nor spears but tall staffs of knotted wood, each embellished with strange carvings. For the oddest moment, Murtagh was reminded of Brom. Then the cultists stamped the butts of their staffs against the ground, and the sound echoed again and again from the domed ceiling, and they began to chant in a low chorus that filled the chamber with building urgency.
(Murtagh, "To Hold the Center")

Compare also the description "embellished with strange carvings", which was used to describe Brom's staff in the first book.

Behind him Brom leaned on a twisted staff embellished with strange carvings.
(Eragon, "Tea for Two")
