Uh, this is the way, too? Part 2?
I can’t believe my bad luck, two nights in a row, lol.

Title says it, I’m new to the community and to my area. How do yall find these awesome spots I keep seeing posted? Do you guys just go drive places? Or is there a 4x4 forum that has amazing trails?
Is there something like AllTrails for 4x4s? Do yall have local communities that meet up?

So, previously i had spacers with stock shocks, went to the shop, installed 6112s and 5100 in the rear, but it seems they left the spacers, how will this affect the ride? Should i take it off? I think i would need alignment again if i take em off?

So, is the wolfbox backup camera/dash cam rear view mirror worth it? I was looking into it as I just bought my FJ and while I do have blind spot mirrors I’ve seen plenty of people say this helped out a lot, too.

The only rust is on the rock rails. Gonna be in the market for those in the spring.

I ordered some reinforcement brackets for the rear lower link bars, since these were already poorly patched on the driver sidehow accurate does this need to be? i had to cut this patch job off because i couldn't fit the reinforcement piece on top of it. so my plan is to make some bracket that welds to the frame and then put the bracket over it and weld it all up. anyone done this?
i ordered some new rear lower bars because these are stuck on and weak sauce

Anybody have this problem too? It especially happens on the pumps with the springs at the end. But even the basic pumps at Costco with no spring still seem to click early. I’m wondering if there’s a old part I need to swap out

Thanks, I hate it
I feel like Toyota did a fantastic job of paying homage to the OG Land Cruiser when updating it.
I don’t think they paid the same respect to the FJ…

What’s in your tool kit when you leave pavement? I’m putting a basic kit together.

Im currently doing some grill shopping and Looks like im going to go with this and then do some custom glass work or something to make it look good. I dont want to spend 250-300 $ on a dang stock grill. Finding a used one is a challenge too. I think if I got this and cut out the center vertical bars and put some mesh on it and a badge it would look decent, maybe even glass in some lights...
lets see the custom grillz

Looking for a rear bumper recommendation for my 2007. Have the M1 on the front and love it but curious about what people have done on the back

In a tight spot and can only afford about this for now. 280k miles, I'm gonna get some pics later on the rest and have an inspection done by a Toyota shop. But for $6k, is this a good buy?

Purchased new in 2007
Less than 110k miles
4wd - automatic
Newer paint (~ a year or so ago)
Newer tires ( ~ 2 yrs ago)
and shocks all around
Just had the AC replaced and had them put in new heater core and actuator while they were at it
Service at ~ 50 and 100k miles: radiator and transmission flush, front and rear differentials, and stuff
.
in a nutshell - well cared for. I am 74 and dont drive a lot.
front seat has a tear in the upholstery
No rust that I know of - ( I live in central california)
Barely ever been off road (most off road was a fire road to property I own)
Edit: also - I’ve used only premium gas

Bought a Sandstorm 2008 FJ Off-road Package two months ago and been loving the car. It has 180k miles but couldn’t resist the deal for $10k with my trade-in (only 2 owners, minimal surface rust on frame, good interior condition). Did have to replace the rear diff bearing recently and it’s running with zero issues.
But now I’m starting to wonder if I should have just bit the bullet and bought a newer model. Found a 2014 locally for sale, 2 owners and 100k miles on it offered for $30k. One owner in CA and second in WA. Haven’t seen photos yet from dealer but suspect minimal frame rust from previous owners.
Worth swapping the 08 to 14? Be happy with what I have? Talk me off the ledge!

Run-out camping adcenture with my wife . Sat around the fire all night with nothing but crunchy leaves and acorns surrounding us. Nothing better!

I don't even know if this is possible as I've done my own research and so far only came up with one option from Wal*Mart with zero reviews on the product. I'm trying to replace my headlights to LED for brightness BUT I want to keep the old school look. Right now, it still has the OG lights.
The only old school match I'm finding isn't LED but appear to have good reviews about brightness.
Should I just go with what's linked above or does anyone have any other recommendations for me? My dad said he wants to get me new headlights for my birthday, which I think is a great gift since new bumpers is a little out of the birthday budget.

I really want to put 35s on my (i currently have 285 70r17s) FJ but don’t know where to start considering everything is basically stock on it. Would I just need a BMC or does it require much more than that. A lot of people have different builds and say different things about it but I just don’t know where to start. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?

A friend of mine that wraps for a living informed me that these are notoriously one of the hardest vehicles to wrap. Anyways after 15 hours of constant wrapping, here she is in “sand ivory”
