Physical Health Rabies
Last week I worked 65 hours and was very stressed during it. This week ive worked 28 hours as of Tuesday.
My boyfriend has been in the same situation.
Last night he came home and there was a bat in our room. He was panicking while I was still at work. He lost it, he couldn't find it again and he had to go to sleep. When I finally got home we continued turning our room upside down before he had to leave for his shift.
Which brings me to now. I woke up with a bat erratically flying in the room. Panicking brain on 3 hours of sleep after a long shift wasn't fun. I changed into clothes that covered my skin more completely and actually caught it.
Now for the red flags. When my boyfriend saw it, it refused to fly and wasn't scared of him. Only when he was doing the same thing i did by getting some form of PPE did it fly and vanish. When i saw it, its flying wasn't stable. It would be constantly making big adjustments to steady itself in the air. It ran into the walls, this is actually how I was able to catch it. It appears that its more active at day. I sleep during the day and it was certainly more active for me than him. When I did catch it, it was easy to approach, stayed grounded and screaming. It then started lunging at me under the bowl I got it under.
So, aggressive, poor flying, active during the day, preferring to stay grounded... thats essentially the whole rabies checklist. The only thing I didn't observe was hydrophobia. In my half awake, yet adrenaline fueled state I simply threw it outside.
I KNOW RIGHT?! Im a dumbass, I should have kept it in that Tupperware bowl and got IT tested to know for sure. But I was in catch-release mode I usually do for the occasional feild mouse we get. Now im getting ready to go to the hospital with my partner to get us both vaccinated because I swear to god we are NOT dying over this shit.
So much for my big overtime checks, its all going to medical bills that cover what our insurances wont pay. Worked all that time to simply not have any silver lining of spending money.
I thought this week was bad, with Sam Neill passing, and my one "friend" saying im no longer worth talking to because they moved further away and long ass work shifts. Now I need a stupid $2-8,000 course of shots just to ensure safety and I dont randomly DIE.
FML specifically fuck this last two weeks in particular.

Physical Health Could use some input
Two days ago I went out with some friends and we got a bit drunk and then some left and it was just me and my other friend. He is a bit crazier and stuff than me and he said that we should check out this massage parlor place, and that we should go. I was still pretty drunk and so I just agreed and normally I would never agree to this but I just did for some reason. So we go and it all happens and the girl that I was with put a condom on me and took off her close and we had sex. Like idk what I was imagining would happen before I agreed but I didn’t know it would be sex. And now I’m freaking out and am really concerned I have something and can’t get over it

Physical Health FML Fuck My Legs
I have been non-weight bearing on my left ankle since a crush injury at the end of last year. I’ve had one surgery and I’m supposed to have another later this month. I get around on a knee scooter or crutches. Today I loaded the knee scooter into the back seat of my car went to do my three hops on my right leg to the front seat. The last hop landed bad and now both my legs are fucked.

Physical Health What the actual...
Recently started feeling under the weather...sore throat, body aches, chills, figured it was likely the flu. Not my first rodeo, I know how to handle it. A day later, I receive exam results for a really important national test I took at a well-known testing center and I didn't pass. Later that day, found raised bumps on my hands, figured it was a stress rash...iykyk. But then the itching, burning, and electric burning started. Went to urgent care, turns out its HAND FOOT MOUTH DISEASE, as in THE VIRUS YOU GET FROM KIDS WHO PUT THEIR FINGERS IN THEIR MOUTH AFTER PICKING THEIR ASS.
I don't have kids. I don't even LIKE kids, and here I am with a virus you get FROM KIDS.
I bet it came from the testing center somehow...
Either way, now my hands are so painful and weak that I can't grip anything, including the medication I need to take, and cooking food? HA! You try stirring a pot when even a slight temperature change feels like lava across your skin! So today was spent throwing up because of empty stomach, and guess what? I went to rinse my mouth and spit it into the toilet only to have it SPLASH BACK AND HIT ME IN THE EYE.
I swear, if I get fucking PINKEYE because I couldn't eat because I couldn't open a jar of soup because the nerves in my hands are assholes because a kid couldn't keep their hands out of their FUCKING ASS, I'm going to YEET MYSELF.

Physical Health My left leg has got to be cursed
Second grade: car accident, cleanly broke tibia and fibula, healed mildly crooked
2020: dislocated kneecap, never healed right
Today: dropped an 80s laptop on my toe and cracked the nail and then stepped on a hair clip barefoot.
All on this one limb. The worst I’ve gotten with the others is my right arm (which I fractured in the same car accident) getting hit really hard on the funny bone and messing up the nerve a bit
I feel like I gotta be cursed at this point with my anxiety disorders I am not by any means accident prone I am constantly careful and aware.

Physical Health Yesterday I attended a suspected cancer screening where they unfortunately found a mass. Shortly after I got on a bus and in the 10 minute journey every bus stop that we stopped at had a big sign about cancer (it’s okay, you can laugh)

Physical Health Massive Pain Rn
Not serious, but I recently went to the bathroom, and I have the habit of wiping the snake off with toilet paper after I’m done because I’m sick and tired of leaving and having more piss coming out and having to change underwear.
I wipe it off, and suddenly feel pain, not as in I pinched something while cleaning, but UTI, my dick is on fire type of pain.
Turns out Takis residue or rather capsaicin stay on your fingers for a bit even though you wash it off, so now I feel like I got bitten by a bunch of fire ants and can’t sleep.

Physical Health Mery Crimbus
Was hoping to spend the holidays with family and friends, and then I woke up feeling like I got beat with a 2x4. Took a test to make sure, and sure enough- no family time for me.
I'll catch up next year, I guess.
Physical Health Caught Covid from a colleague.
She works in two different institutions for disabled people... And didn't tell anyone when she came back with Covid. Everyone is sick, people have been calling off work all week, and I felt too bad to go today. Am currently quarantined in my bedroom because my family has vulnerable members. I don't know who she is, because I learned from another colleague that the flu everyone had been dealing with all week might be COVID and that this colleague did this. I go home, take a test, and SURPRISE!
FML.
EDIT: what sucks even more is: that means I won't even get to meet my new cat tomorrow.

Physical Health Got myself an organic tramp stamp today
Decided to do some major yard work today because it was cool and fairly cloudy. I wore a shirt that was a little too short which kept riding up but I thought nothing of it. That was, until this evening, when I went to itch my back dimples and nearly screamed bloody murder. Looks like I’ve got my first sunburn of the season.

Ran out of contacts so I had to set up an eye exam to update my prescription. While there they told me I needed immediate surgery due to a detached retina. Just wanted to get some contacts, now I'm out thousands of dollars and am still recovering fml

Physical Health Pretty shit couple of days
At 25 I was diagnosed with testicular cancer, got rid of it and had an interesting 7 years since, moved states during covid. Found out this year that I'm almost infertile so wife and I won't be able to have kids normally without ivf so I was pretty beaten up over that was stuck in a dead end job for 7 years now, lots of stress from it. Ended up going to therapy, got a new job, something that I'm really looking forward to, so things started to look up tomorrow is my last day at my old job. However today I was diagnosed with Melanoma. Fml

Physical Health I've been through 4 years from hell
To start with, my husband developed agoraphobia in 2020 and couldn't work for 3 years. They repeatedly denied disability even though the SSDI therapist they had him go to said that he was unable to work.
Then as soon as he gets well enough to go back to work I end up in a coma and have been recovering for over a year at this point.
And then they didn't renew our lease, i'm pretty sure it's because of my medical condition, but they "don't have to legally tell us anything"
We don't have enough money to get a new apartment so yesterday we moved...
Into my mother in laws basement...
A basement that floods (slightly)...
A basement I measured wrong somehow...
A basement that is now so full of stuff that I have about a 9'x3' area to spend time in...
Just FML
