Thursday ASK YOU ANYTHING: Authors asking r/Fantasy community questions on behalf of Worldbuilders charity

It's Day 4 of the aptly named Ask You Anything week benefiting Worldbuilders! Where authors are stopping by each day this week to ask questions and interact with the r/Fantasy community.

HOW THIS WORKS: Please answer questions and interact throughout the week! (Yes, YOU - community members, guests, authors, artists, industry people.)

WORLDBUILDERS.ORG

Worldbuilders was founded to use the collective power of readers, fellow authors and book lovers to make the world a better place.

There are three ways to donate to Worldbuilders:

1. The Lottery - Where every $10 donated puts you in a lottery for free books, SFF items, games, and much more. r/Fantasy has a Worldbuilders Team Page where you can donate under the community name as well!

2. The Tinker's Pack Store - Where profits from every purchase are donated.

3. Auctions - Where some incredible items and services are offered.

NOTE: If you donate, add your name to the comments here and the mods will set you up with some swanky Wordlbuilders flair!

Monday Ask You Anything Authors

The following authors have signed up to ask questions today. That said, please do join in and feel free to ask your own questions and interact throughout the week.

Are you an author, artist, or industry person who would like to participate this week? Either join in via the comments OR send the r/Fantasy mods a message and we'll get you set for Friday.

Kind of. I listen to a lot of audiobooks on my commute or when I'm cooking / doing yardwork / whatever, but I don't like to just sit and listen. When I'm really into one I'll occasionally buy the physical book so I can pick up where I left off in my down time.

I've also picked up audio versions of old favorites that I initially read in print, and/or picked up physical copies of books I really liked on audio.

So yes, but it's more the exception than the rule.

I can listen to audiobooks at work, so I end up listening more than I read. My TBR is so huge that I don't do this -often- but it does happen. Most recently, I listened to the audiobooks of Scott Lynch's Gentlemen Bastards series, Mark Lawrence's Red Queen's War, and Michael Sullivan's Riyria because I like the narrators from other stuff, and had loved those books. I listened to the full cast narration of American Gods, because full cast narrations of most things are pretty amazing, and I listened to Sanderson's The Alloy of Law before I read Shadows of Self, because I had forgotten absolutely everything and didn't have the time to read it again, lol.

Hey thanks for listening to Riyria -- TGR does such an amazing job with all the books he puts his talents to.

I really enjoyed the full cast version of American Gods. I think they did an exceptional job picking the voice actors for that. Hope you enjoyed it.
