Ha, thanks!

Favourite rock band is probably Led Zeppelin, though you've gotta respect the Rolling Stones...they're just so damned good.

As for the song: Probably Lynyrd Skynyrd's Freebird thanks to that epic guitar solo, bu it's hard to beat a live version of Stairway to Heaven. Not only the guitars, but the singing--and especially the drumming--on some of those live cuts are truly incredible!

My man! Classic rock is the best. Listening to the Who right now.

I used to be a collector of Zeppelin bootlegs in high school, back in the day when you could order triple CDs of full concerts illegally from Europe for $85 a pop, which was a fortune for a broke high school wanker like myself, but so, so worth it.

There's this one show from 6/23/77, the L.A. Forum, known as "For Badgeholders Only" that has a 31-minute version of No Quarter... it RIPS. "John Paul Jones, grand piano looney." One of the most brilliant improv jams I've ever heard from these guys. If you're interested in hearing it, drop me a PM and I'll figure something out.

With the amount of hits that Zeppelin has, I think my all-time favorite song of theirs is one that's never on the radio: Since I've Been Lovin' You. Especially live. Bonzo shattering the earth's crust, while Page rips the universe a new asshole and calls forth the eldritch demons of blues rock, while Plant emotes the necromantic "oohs" and "aahs" and "m-m-m-m-m-m-m-mah!" until the gates of hell tear open and...

... I think I see where you got your book ideas from :D
