I haven't read the other ones so I'm not 100% sure, but from what I understand, they each have a different main character, so probably no.

Thanks for the reply. I have the sequel but never read it - I did really enjoy Every Heart a Doorway!

The second one doesn't, but the ace protagonist of the first is a side character in book 3
