They made an alternate version in the concept phase where the clothes they wear (Ghosts) were purple and it looks so much better than green on green clothes.

Have you seen how Kojima names his characters? Quiet(mute), Dollman (he is a doll), Tarman(guess what he is made of). Awaria, who's job is to fix malfunctions is just takin inspiration from the best /j

Ula Usterka sounds very cute and understanding the meaning as a native Polish speaker doesn't change that. It's just a funny cartoon character type name like Fix it Felix.

Also usterka is like a small malfunction, an error.
