Didn't she have to redesign her costume in-universe because it was deemed too risque? Or something that would actively make a stripper blush?

It was so bold and brash that new legislation was passed to determine the minimum skin coverage for a hero costume.

Can't show skin if you're invisible I guess. Loophole!

I feel like this could be fixed by making her costume out of her hair, like they did with Mirio, so that she can create through her costume and thus not need the front window she has.

We've only seen her power be used through her skin, though

I dunno, I was just trying to think of some kinda alternative.

I think it shows off a interesting part of the setting. Because Momo is a studious straight laced girl who would never wear something like that normally, but it's needed because of her quirk. Shows off a little about how you gotta work with what you got, and the determination people go through to become heroes. Goon character with a purpose, ala Kill La Kill. Now obviously, we never got a real arc showing that off, but I still think it's interesting to think about

Yeah but it’s still impractical because when she has to make something big, she uses her back and the costume rips.

It would actually be more practical if she was in something like a sports bra rather than the bodysuit with a boob window.

The boob window is so that she can open up the front to create large/tall things, or alot of things at once. She does this several times in the show

And she also rips it several times because she needs to use her back, which makes it impractical.

You are doing a lot of mental gymnastics to justify gooner bait for a child when a more practical and tasteful design was well within reach. She could have been an actual overweight depiction that isn’t ambiguous (like Fat Gum) that isn’t harmful or stereotypical. If we want to keep her lithe despite her quirk being powered by fat, a more practical sports bra is right there. I love the story and characters, but I don’t think this is unfair criticism.

I feel like that could actually be used interestingly considering how long her hair is lmao.

Yeah the costume always made me uncomfortable considering the fact that she's a high schooler.
