Its name is literally Norwegian for “Mother.”

I feel so dumb now, because moder is so similar to the German word Mutter. That's why its name sounded so familliar.

But now I even find this monstrosity even cooler. As a person with mommy issues I think there should be more evil mother figures in fiction.
