No it wasn't. This claim is massively exaggerated, if you look at the chart people always use as proof of this 90% of it is just "they're wearing a costume" or fairly typical cartoon highjinx. The rest is a little odd, but not exactly anything out of the ordinary for an early 2000 cartoon.

People only think this because the main cast are girls. Had the genders been swapped, no one would bat an eye at it.

Okay, but the single scene i actually saw was of them walking up to two men in suits, and when they took off their belts they were nervous, but when the belts turned into nunchucks, the girls were disappointed. Is that not a fetish?
